Fairly disappointing. Thought episodes 6&7 weren't great either but were required to set the scene for the final. Thus, was expecting something great but it failed to deliver. Some parts were almost comical (don't think it was intentional, unfortunately).

wow, that was amazing even with the stuff with the Tuttle family unsolved and some other stuff, but the whole series its hard to find any boring moments. the scene when they are going through the tunnel chasing the dude was amazing almost as good as the one shot with Rust and the bikers in the black neighborhood.

Who ever they pick for S2 will have huge shoes to fill, will be hard to find actors as good together. i hope the writer does all the episodes again next season. the amount of awards the show is going to get could set more records.

i cant wait till the blu-ray comes out but prob wont be till Xmas since HBO always waits till 1-2 months before the next series, and the job HBO do with the Blu-rays with the interactive stuff and other extras. This is also a show that will lose a lot of the excitement if binge watched for the first time.

Pretty much ****ing amazing. What a show. I'm still thinking about it, true exchange below.

May not have rated it highly enough for my brother.

Ed Norton and Ralph Fiennes.
The final episode reminded me of the final scenes in The Silence Of The Lambs and Red Dragon.

"After you Rust. I'll sit this one out."

Inbred freaks.

Loved it.

Felt like it ended on a great note and struck an absolutely perfect (an I mean perfect) balance. When you look at the season as a whole it does come pretty darn close to perfection. Unlike anything I've ever really seen on TV.

I don't quite have the level of understanding that some of you seem to have, so hopefully someone can clarify something;
I read back a few pages that it was possible that Maggie's parents could've had something to do with sacrificing kids to the creeps. Then when she visits Marty in the hospital at the end I thought she looked bloody furious, like she's annoyed that they caught the guy in the end because her parents are connected to it. Also when she visited Rust in his bar it seemed more like she was trying to see if they were getting close to solving it, again in fear for her parents. Or am I way off with this?

I'm surprised he got any internet on a public holiday. :p

There was nothing explicit about that.

Obviously certain parts were left to interpretation, people can make of those bits what they will.

I enjoyed the series. It was like what a good movie should be albeit extended, very high level picturesque shots, acting and music. I'm excited about where the future will go with this show. They might not match this season in a lot of things but they can do a better story overall and I'm even open to a more supernatural slant on things which this seemed to threaten to do.

I have to say though I felt the fans got a bit carried away with over analysis and theory in the end.

There was only one problem with the finale,
the green house/green ears link that led them to Errol.

It would have made far more sense for it to have been green earmuffs, especially since both times we have seen Errol he has been on the lawnmower.

I thought the jump to the green house was a bit of a leap. The ear muffs would have been completely unbelievable, IMO. [/quote]

i agree. pretty big leap by marty to jump to that conclusion. and its not like it wouldve been hard to work earmuffs in there instead.

thats about the only thing that bothered me with the final. im glad they went the 'predictable' way rather than throwing out a bunch of twisty shenanigans like seemingly every tv show/movie does

even by the high level set by fans of this show, youre reading way too much in to things.

Perhaps it was deliberately put in just to signify a bit of luck, or Marty coming across something himself. They could just as easily have had Sheriff Childress' family on file and arrived at maintenance contracts at schools for the brother, and put it together from there. They probably wrote it this way for a reason.

So, my internet was down when I got home tonight so I couldn't download it.

After a few hours I decided to sweet talk my ex into letting me over and set it to download on my smuggled in laptop while I distracted her.

If she gets pregnant I'll force that my son be called Rust.

The finale was amazing, just saying.

See above.

Pretty sure I nailed the Pennywise vibe (not what I mean by my ex).

Pretty satisfied overall. As a proud atheist I wasn't too fond of Rust's little near death experience, but certainly not enough to kill it for me.

I guess you're referring to the bad guys' voice echoing all around them? Pretty stupid but with the set up of the surrounds, I guess you can kind of accept/forgive it.

Marty getting the break still works if it's earmuffs. He simply needed to be the one to make the connection.

Yeah, but earmuffs is as much of a reach as the paint. Plus I think it works on the level that the speculation wasn't 100% accurate, but it got them there in the end, which relates to my comment about luck.
