Has anyone here re-watched this yet?

Reckon it'd be the type of show that you'd get more out of on second viewing, like The Wire or even Breaking Bad.
I re-watched this scene several hundred times:

...but yeah also re-watched the show with the missus a while back.

You're right you do pick up a lot more.

On second viewing, ep 3 became my favorite of the season. And I also noticed the exact moment in the show where it jumps the shark....ok jump the shark is too harsh, but where the quality buildup could no longer be maintained - and it's when Marty goes skating with his family.

What about that scene exactly?

cast could be announced as soon as next week apparently, with the possibility of a 4 person central cast.

A 40 something male, a 30 something female and a 20 something male, as well as another likely female character

Just pumped through this in the last few days.

**** me, that sequence from when Rust + Marty arrive at the Biker party to blowing Reg LeDoux's face off is incredible. The most pulsating TV I've ever seen.

The last 10 minutes or so of the fourth episode was one of the most intense pieces of tv/cinema I've seen. It literally made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

Has their been any confirmation of the setting yet? Creepy backwoods shitkicker Louisiana is going to be very hard to match.
Read somewhere it's going to be based in California but not in the California that we all know (L.A, San Francisco etc).
“…It takes place in California — not Los Angeles, but some of the much lesser known venues of California — and we’re going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambiance of the place, much like we did in season one.”-Nic Pizzolatto

LA is like a glossy novel cover...looks good on the outside but inside its fairly average.

There's plenty of backwards desert and mountain areas in California

Even more so, I'm going around again and feel like a complete ****ing idiot, everything is so obvious and laid out in front of you. I don't know whether it's the fact I watched it week-by-week the first time as it aired or just that I know what to look for now, probably the latter. Just makes you appreciate it all the more.

I would rather keep the mystery than have it ruined on a second viewing.

FWIW, nice avatar.

Are the last three episodes still just as shit, the second time round?
