Ok my son has been champing at the bit to be allowed to walk home from school now and then. Problem is we only ever did the walk with him a couple of times previously, and the only time he has ever done it alone was near the end of last year when he took it upon himself to hide from my mother outside the school, then run off and walk home on his own.

He's hinted at it more than once since school started back early last week, and even tho he is at a new school, it is only a block or 2 from his old school so he knows where he is and how to get home.

I've bitten the bullet, rung the school and asked them to pass on the message for him to walk home.

Now I'm sitting here panicking he'll get hit by a car or something on the way home.

I need a diversion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO!

Tho hopefully not too far off. I forgot it was their first real PE afternoon as last week (the first Friday back) was spent as the junior school swimming carnival). They were more than likely going to finish up to 10 or 15 minutes late today.

At least I know he has no money on him so he won't scare me even further by stopping off at McDonalds on the way home!

he's home.

I'm fine now.

I think.

Won't be doing that again in a hurry after reading that website mooster poster.
