to be honest i find his blatant bias towards Tsonga quite refreshing. I prefer that he is open, as apposed to those Aussie commentators who pretend they are professional yet it is blatant that they are supporting the Aussies. It makes their favoritism more noticable and embarrassing

Agreed. He never pretended to be impartial, and his barracking was hilarious, so I'm all for it.

Really, tennis is not a sport that requires serious commentary at all. The usual blather about who looks fresher or who's got the better forehand is blatantly obvious to anyone with even a basic understanding of the game.
