grayham and frostie - your last sight of the Swannies at home may well have been getting done by the Pies last week. Don't think they'll be playing at home again. they seem to be choking against the Dees

Dees still 15 points up halfway through 2nd.

Bloody hell, Sydney can beat Brisbane in Brisbane but not Melbourne in Melbourne!

they can hold on.... only 3 quarters to go ;)
Melbourne still need to win by a bit of a margin - probably about 4 goals - for Essendon to climb above Sydney.

Hang in there, Dees.

I can think of five reasons as to why I would rather the Dees win this one. There is still a small chance that the Swans can finish 8th. I told you the Swans were the least talented side of any team that will compete in the 2003 Finals Series.

By the way, yet another victim of Kirks will not get 20 disposals. I am assuming he is tagging Yze, who only has six disposals up until now.

so what ? - if you lose

Do the Dees really want to win?

At the moment the draft picks are as follows:

1 (PP #1) - Dogs
2 (PP #2) - Blues
3 (PP #3) - Dees
4 (DP #1) - Dogs
5 (DP #2) - Dees
etc

If the Dees hold on today:

1 Dogs
2 Blues
3 Dogs
4 Dees
5 Cats
etc

So pretty much everybody except for the Swans (and some Dees fans) would be happy for the Dees to win as they would move up one spot in the draft. The Dogs would have 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 4 and the Dees would have 4 only instead of 3 and 5. A big penalty to pay for a last taste of victory.

Neita is tanking it for the Dees. Drops a simple chest mark, then is all by himself inside 50 with his opponent on the ground so he quickly throws it on his boot instead of running into goal  Then the ball is to be bounced in the square so he hits some guy in the face and goes on with it to make it a 50 for good measure. Go Neita.

I think Neitz is a great player, but he must be playing his last game as captain for Melbourne. He gives away too many stupid free kicks, and when he does the whole side starts to go crazy. Maybe someone like Yze may be a better choice as captain, leaving Neitz to just play football.

I need the Dee's to get up for my tips! Tipped The Cats also, so for the moment that's looking okay :)

To say the umpires are trying their best to hand Melbourne a priority pick is an understatement.

The umpires have been disgraceful for both sides. They have missed so many throws (by both sides), I though we're playing rugby.

Umpiring is garbage and has been for a long time. I am wondering if the situation will ever come when a club takes an umpire to court for costing them a premiership?
