Who is the better player. Personally I consider Ablett in the top few players of the competition, since he has taken the on-ball roll this season.
Hodge I also rate but reckon Ablett is gonna keep getting better.

This is Abletts first year as a midfielder, and right now he's considered the best player this season. I would rate Mitchell before Hodge.

I'd probably take Ablett, but Hodge has more runs on the board.
Ablett is quicker and has incredible agility and reflexes in tight situations, whereas Hodge is a far superior kick (Ablett is a good kick, Hodge is just a freak) and is better overhead.

Both are in sublime form, but if I had to honestly rate who's having a better year this year (which is basically what all polls are about), i'd have to lean towards Gablett Jnr unfortunately.

Take nothing away from Hodgey, he's also having a sublime season thus far.

Agree completely. Hodge is decent (yes thatz all i think of him, no where near judd, as a lot of people may think), but mitchell is the one who is more important to the Hawks hopes for success and IMHO he is their gun midfielder. Now to the thread, as u can tell i dont really rate hodge as highly as most do and i would take Ablett jnr. hands down over hodge.
