Editor/writer for AFL.com.au. Love my work.

Also looking to get back into radio work down the track, and/or a bit of freelance editing..... feel free to PM me if you need a grammar and spelling Nazi to help you with anything :p

Very good way to be ando! Would love to get to that point, just starting by doing everything myself, and see how I go from there.

I think it can really work for people as long as they aren't too wedded to the idea of their profession being representative of who they are. For most people the first question they ask when they meet a new person is "so, what do you do?". For me that's a really tricky question! I usually pick a couple of things from my list just to keep it short. Either that or I say that my life is a pizza - lots of bits and pieces.

It's not for everybody - you have to really juggle your life around all your pursuits (need good organisation to coordinate things). But I think it is good from a brain health perspective to always be turning your attention to different things.

You don't have to do it professionally, of course. I think there is great value for everybody in becoming more diverse and able to fix things. Saves money, and it's very satisfying when you can do things for yourself instead of automatically calling somebody. The place to start is to get comfortable with pulling things apart and putting them back together! For me it started when I was about 8 and I used to open up our appliances when my parents weren't home...

Secondary Teacher- Media Studies & English. Not exactly a great help work wise, unless you are still a student and need help with your studies.

Artist - painter. Specialize in portraits (have painted a number of footballers who have commissioned me). Prior to this I was a psychotherapist until 1998.

Civil/Mining/Geotechnical/Project Engineer, Spent a few years in consulting now in construction.

Currently working as a civil project engineer on one of the largest windfarms in the southern hemisphere.

To the 4th year student, google companies like ghd, abi group, leightons, smec etc, follow the links to graduate positions.

If your skill set is more technical, I would suggest consulting, if it is management, go construction.

Quick Question - How many of you Go to the snow?

Personally - I've never seen snow - only on TV - so clearly that means I've never been.

Been once when I was 4, another time when I was 13 and it snowed near where I live, and then again on a school camp, so I'm not a regular visitor :P .

Uni student here, working casually at Coles trying to put $$$$ together ~_~ .

I'm a music consultant. I design and program music playlists to strengthen a corporation or entities brand, or to create a certain atmosphere, or to simply attract customers of the right demographic etc. This is currently my main job.

On top of that, I do audio editing and recording projects- composition isn't my strongest point (although I do dable in it), so post production (ADR, EDL) is more my bread and butter there. I mostly record voice-over artists for radio/television ads etc. I am lucky that I have several long-term contracts in place so recording voice-overs provides a regular (if small) income.

As you've probably guessed, like a few of you, I also have my own studio :)

I also make a few dollars mixing records together. For those of you that know Revolver, I'm playing there soon. It's going to be fun. Mind you, pretty much every cent (and more) I make from dj'ing goes straight to buying more vinyl. I tend to spend 3 times as much as what I get paid for every gig, although I do get free drinks.

If I'm desperate for money (like last year, when I spent 3 weeks in New York and then went to Burning Man festival) I'll get a job in a call centre. I don't make calls though, I supervise. The pay is really great for what you have to do.

TL;DR- Music. Audio. Post Production.

Film-makers hit me up!

Psychologist. Probably would have been of more use last year during the Scully saga.

No doubt will be needed at some stage this year though.

If your playing at Revolver I'm guessing that drinks aren't high on your priorities, especially if you are playing a grave yard set

What a diverse group of people we are... Great insight in to the makeup of a Dees supporter, keep them coming guys... I especially look forward to Super & Biff explaining what helps them pay the bills...

I will attempt to put an index on the 1st page so we can all check easily if any of us can assist with what we are looking for...

I am still looking for an electrician type to fix spa heater switch, keep your ear to the ground guys, I would greatly appreciate your help...

I'm a PE teacher who moonlights as a personal trainer. If you hit the alcohol pretty hard during the AFL season to drown your sorrows, I'm the man to help you burn off those unwanted kg's.

I'm a drug and Alcohol Counsellor/Clinician working in Dandenong. I work at South East Alcohol Drug Service (SEADS) in a detox. I have to deal with all facets of problems dealing with addictions .

Correct. Those bastards at Bigpond are a joke, the sooner they and their sub-standard video platform are gone, the better.

whoah whoah whoah, not taking credit for anything live now.. I only came on board in November for the relaunch.

As other people have mentioned though, a lot is restricted by the heavy influence from Telstra/Bigpond due to sponsorship. I had no idea how much say they had in the business until I came on board. Due to this arrangement, it's why you'll see a few pieces within the site which generate a lot of hatred from the public still exist in the relaunch. However Telstra have developed a new video player for us, which will see silverlight only used at a minimum for legacy videos that havn't been converted to the right codecs and some live formats AFAIK.

Not down there at the moment, out of the Telstra office on Lonsdale until we move back into AFL house... no other demons up here but doing my best to convert the offshore fellas!

Fess up Leper, you're the one who wrote "Demetriou is Eddie's bitch". Am I right? :p
