The current crop down at the Blues... just how good will they get?

(There is no lower option than 5 as they have already achieved option 5 this year)

(Take the question to mean over the next 5-10 years I spose)

They should be up and challenging for the next three years provided they keep Fevola.

Their midfield is A grade with Judd, Murphy, Gibbs all stars and McLean and Simpson will be good depth in there.

Their forward line has been a bit one dimensional in the past but if they can get Waite back next year and playing good football that will help immensely. They will also have some quality crummers with Betts, Yarran and Garlett.

The worry for mine is the backline. Jamison is good but gets a lot of injuries. Thornton is undersized down there but battles hard. They really need to try and find another key defender. Waite could be the answer but I reckon he is better utilised up forward. The other option is to play Kruezer up forward and Waite back, but I would be reluctant to remove Kruezer from the ruck.

If everything goes right next year I think they will finish top 4 and can challenge for the premiership.

Bower and Austin will suprise a few next year down back if they have good pre seasons :thumbsu:

Depends on Fevola.

If they lose him they will go backwards but will regroup and then will be in with a chance, probably 5-7 years.

They have no hope of winning one with him as he is poison to a team.
