All depends on where we finish on the ladder as to our draw but I think we have a good chance to win our first 2 finals. Week 1 v hawks, dons or lions. Week 2 v dogs, pies, cats or saints (as we have beaten 3 of them and ran saints to 9 points). Anything could happen come final time.
I honestly view our chances of making a Prelim the same as losing in week 1. Anything can happen in finals, and we're likely to serve up anything in finals - given our position, maybe that's not a bad thing.
All I know is that **** I can't wait until next week!
I think we are in as good a form as anyone in the top 8, and could cause some upsets.
I just think if we made a prelim we might actually start to think about a GF and that might undo some of the younger brigade.
I actually don't want us to make the GF. I don't think we are mature enough to handle the day, and especially to turn it around if we lose. If flags are won in the backline, without Waite and Jamison, at some point I think we will be found out.
A belting on GF day could do a lot of harm to our group......see Port and their "promising" youngsters..........many I believe have been scarred by their experience on GF day and haven't done a thing since.
Would like to win 1.......then maybe 2, and play 2 or 3 finals. Get the experience, get the taste and take that thirst into pre-season.
Although I had a dream the other week where we were playing St Kilda in the GF (though I never saw the outcome, all I know is we were ahead at some point late-ish in the match), my head tells me the second week, so I'll just go with that for now.
