I guess they’re keen to get to the WC defence with minimal personnel changes. Who knows how many T20 games we have scheduled between now and then?!

well its in 12 months time so no reason why the team can't be the same even though all of them are 30+ other than cummins and zampa.
as good as wade was in the semi final he may be done in this format.
the bench players were all under 30.

in any case these guys won't play collectively again as we won't play our best side in any 20/20 that we play.
With lots of BBL etc it does give someone time to put their hand up though before we reassemble our 'best' players for the world cup.
We need to remember we know what we get from the fringe players etc thinking back to west indies and bangladesh tours.

The blame rests with Cricket Australia's selectors back in 2009-10 for not picking Aaron Finch for test match cricket.

If he was picked at a young age, he would have tested his technique against the top English bowlers during the 2009-10 Ashes series. If he failed, big deal. At least he would have identified his weaknesses and he would have had the hunger to toughen up his defensive technique; worked on his defensive play and worked hard on playing the ball that swings into his pads. From that point on, he could have become a better test match batsman instead of a T20 mercenary.

The Australian selectors did the right thing by picking Will Pucovski. He had a taste of test cricket and even though he had a shoulder operation, he should have worked hard on his technical weaknesses (the short ball) to become a better test player.

He is the best young batting talent since Ricky Thomas Ponting. And, in my opinion, he should have picked up the phone and rang up the best number 3 test batsman since Sir Donald Bradman to improve his technique against the short ball.

In Greg Chappell's autobiography written by Adrian McGregor he wrote a piece where the Chappell brothers spent the off season in 1971 at a local Baseball pitch in Adelaide where they worked on their technique against the short ball. After a couple of sessions, they ironed out the weaknesses and their record speaks for themselves.

I just wonder if CA have hired the woke cricket coaches; allowed left wing woke cricket journalists to cover the cricket and isolated legends who have played the game at the highest level to help our current bunch of youngsters coming through the ranks.
So you wanted them to pick him for Australia, when he wasn’t even getting a game for Victoria?

Must have been five years since a gov rant about finch. Memories coming flooding back. What a serotonin fix that is.

A real time viewing of watching a man completely untether himself from reality.
He can’t do it on radio anymore. Every station banned because they were sick of him ringing up and talking s**t all the time
