You do realise that he played 5 games in his first season?

He showed a LITTLE bit of promise when he played

To say he's done nothing is wrong

He'll hopefully play 15 or more games next season

saw him today in the gym...he is moving around well, doing ok, got through his workout fine. Bad luck got him early

Gumby will come good, just needs some luck.

Even if he doesn't I think gumby has at least four or five years of doing nothing before he ends up on freo's list!

Unlikely. Club rates him highly and I doubt he's feeling homesick.
But underperforming and underplaying after 3 years(Injury filled or not) from a No.2 pick would surely warrant some sort of a look at trading?

1. He was drafted at number 2 and 2. No player in the top 5 would ever be looked at for traidbait after 3 years except for extreme circumstances.

Wouldn't not playing up to standard be one of those circumstances?

Lloyd tried to screw him over and trade him last year, perhaps he has moved already because he realises that Matty will do the same again.

why dont we just call collingwood a pack, of criminal, drug using, drink driving cheats? if we are using generalisations made up by the media then thats valid.

you do realise the only thing lloyd said was "west coast would be very interseted with trying to make a trade with essendon because we have a host of young WA talent". he never said anything about trading anyone

do some research before posting

Couldn't agree more with you mate!:thumbsu:

The problem isn't his performance, it's getting him on the park. It would be like asking Richmond to trade Richo when he did his knee. You do not get rid of young KPP's.

How can he "not" be playing to standard if he isn't playing at all?

He would have minimal currency, and we would be throwing away a potential gun for next to nothing.

Young KPP's take time.

Most of the '06 crop have been slow in their development bar Riewoldt and only recently Hansen.

What does Richmond want for Richard Tambling???
