that was the funniest bit of the game, didnt see what happen but i saw the ump lieing face down on the grownd no wonder we didnt get any free kicks lol

Thought we were in for a good run after that. It was Matthew Nicholls and he was killing us. Did I imagine it or did we only get ONE FREE in the second half?

nope that is true, one free kick after half time (16mins into the last) absolute joke and the sarcastic cheer that went up (usually only from the cheer squad and a few others) was from the whole ground and was unbelievable.
as for the OP, i havent seen a replay of the incident yet but on SEN Finey was right on Brock McLean saying he will certainly go for pushing tucky into the umpire. im holding judgement untill i see it again but Finey was so sure that tucky was pushed

The game has gone to the Dogs. Surely Tucky didn't get in trouble because McLean pushed him into the Ump! Cloke elbowed Carl bloke and got one and Franklin clearly elbowed Adel player in the head and is playing this week!

Shane Tuck, Richmond, has been charged with a Level One offence for making negligent contact with umpire Matthew Nicholls during the third quarter of the Round 12 match between Richmond and Melbourne, played at Telstra Dome on Sunday June 15, 2008.
In summary, he can accept a $1950 sanction with an early plea.
A first offence for making negligent contact with an umpire is a $2600 sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a $1950 sanction.
Contact between Melbourne's Brock McLean and Richmond's Shane Tuck, behind umpire Matthew Nicholls, from the third quarter of Sunday's match was assessed. The Match Review Panel deemed that Tuck negligently made contact with umpire Nicholls. Just prior to contact, Tuck was standing directly behind the umpire, pushing on McLean. McLean was pushing back on Tuck. Because both players were pushing against each other, Tuck stayed in a line directly behind the umpire, where contact was eventually made. The MRP believed that Tuck would have made contact with the umpire even if the players weren't pushing against each other. It was not the view of the Panel that McLean pushed Tuck directly into the umpire. Therefore McLean was not reported and no further action was taken against him.
Why do i feel like they are making an example of this incident so they can introduce that 'no-go zone' next season and go back and say well see this never would have happened.

The funniest bit was when, after the play had moved on, the camera zoomed in on the spud lying face down in the centre circle.
He slowly lifts his head & spits mud & grass out of his mouth...

Tuck was definitely ripped off but you have to admit it was worth it. Would only have been funnier if it had been Richo doing it running flat out. Nicholls would not have got up. Mind you Tucky is one hard bugger.
I think the only problem that got Tuck into trouble was that he started off in the direct line behind the umpire. If he hadn't I think he would have been ok.
Enjoyed watching your boys play this year. Not too far away now.
