Re Odom, the player Pat Riley said who could be "The only player who does what he can do" before his rookie year, OK is the Lakers where he can do it? The World is waiting L, step up, somewhere dammit!!!!!!

ANy laker fans out there have any ideas on what the purple and gold can do to turn around their fortunes?
Ive followed these boys for a long time and i just cant see them being a major playoff threat, with the roster they have at this moment
WHAT CAN WE DO??!!!

They screwed themselves up by trading SHAQ. Whats going 2 happen next. trading kobe for 3 avergae players

Another day, another loss when will this losing streak stop?
And what was wrong with Chris Mihm today? Not another injury on this disaster of a road trip
What else can go wrong................

question - How to become a better team?

answer - trade Mr.Bryant

Bingo! Get a high draft pick and 2 decent players. Then they will have depth. At the moment It's Kobe, an under achieving Odom, a developing Bynum and a bunch of *******s as kobe's contract won't allow them to sign anyone else!

At 12 wins and 8 losses after 20% of the season they are not doing to bad, in fact they are doing to good for my liking as I hate the Lakers.

They are on track for the play offs and not the 8ths seed either.

I wouldn’t trade Kobe unless it was for the number 1 pick in next year draft or for Kevin Durant.

Kidd would not be nearly as effective under Phil's triangle offense. I honestly don't think he will be that huge of an addition, as the PG in this offense needs to be able to reliably hit shots. Kidd doesn't do that.

Artest would be the best addition that has been mentioned for the Lakers.

The trade Kobe talk is rubbish anyway, his trade clause effectively kills that and honestly, he has done everything he needed to do to keep the team afloat, whether thats taking 30 or 20 shots a night. Name 1 other guard who could have led last years rabble with the injuries the Lakers had into the playoffs?

Trading Kobe would be suicide. He's a match winner, and just became the youngest player EVER to reach 20,000 pts. You don't trade players like that.

Correct.

Bynum is key in all this.

Battier?

Not convinced.

Great defender, and is a threat from the three. Attributes Lamar lacks, and what's needed for this team.

Kobe, Gasol and Bynum are already threats. Adding a sharpshooter means no doubling, with Lamar they will rotate off him to help.

Lamar is a redundant piece and will be shopped this off season.

They need Odom while Bynum is out anyway, but if Bynum comes back healthy and in the same form he was in pre-injury, I'd offload Odom for Artest - because the idea of Artest/Kobe defending together is just too awesome to ignore.

When is the deadline though?
