if only we had two!
He is so critical down back, taking pack marks, coming over the top to courageously spoil and his rebound is essential to our attack too!

And maybe a more relevant conversation for when Shaz gets some fitness and consistency to replace him down back but I think with our lack of marking tall options A couple of Howe pack marks each game might help spread the aerial load a bit. He can also impact at ground level obviously too.

If we could clone a third, he'd be useful on a wing.

Still think it's more important to have a strong defense then having a perfect forward line.

Howe can play at both ends, but he is arguably in career best form now (5th in the Copeland and among our best last night).

If only we could clone him though, would be nice.

We need him more right where he is Im afraid.

We've got a better medium marking forward prospect just about ready to come in, who could well have been held out solely because of a six-day turnaround.

Plus, we need to keep our back six playing together as a unit as much as possible so they can play predictably for one another.

Reid-Schade-Howe-Maynard-Ramsay-Smith. Maybe throw Scharenberg in there when ready, but don't tinker with it too much.

If we get Langdon back or Scharenberg comes on then definitely an option. Genuine match winner, will be AA if he continues this form in the backline . Super talent, great pick up by the club and a CFC fan too.... Living the dream!

In saying that both Langdon and Schaz could turn into mids potentially.

Think if we can get Shaz up and going would prefer to send Reid forward.
That's a terrible idea. Scharenberg is a great talent, but he's not going to replace our best KPD. Doesn't have the height or frame to do that.

Okay then. In a thread talking about options of Howe going forward, if we going to do that I suggested Reid. Sorry.

Howe is a shit forward.

We got three of them.

Howe for the backline.
Elliott for the forwardline.
Hoskin Elliott for the wing.

I'm all for 3 Howe clones. I,d play 2 off the half back flank and one on the forward flank
He has been an awesome recruit. His bravery and hardness at the contest is underrated... Prob because it was not there so much when he was at Melbourne.

His intercept marking is a weapon. Only Langdon has shown a similar ability, and only if he returned to his best should a move of Howe forward make any sense.
Shaz maybe also be an alternative but until he gets solid games under his belt, and we see what he's truly capable of its a question mark.
But REID needs to stay back PERMANENTLY.

I guess my point is when we are clearly struggling to get any sort of regular connection in our F50, when we are just bombing and hoping for a mark, when we are down and need to take some risks...throw him forward for a stint

To pinch hit Howe forward is a fine idea.
Overall I've heard him say he's just not as effective forward.
Reads the play better going from the back.

Pinch hitting, love to see it here nad there.

Imagine this:

Elliot!
Fasolo
Hoskin-Elliot (why have one Elliot when you can have two)
Howe

The defenders would have palpitations

(And Moore running around back in better form)

Throw in Crocker

(Not that shabby. Just need the big boys do more)

i would have moved him forward in the last in a hope to get something going. Bad coaching by bucks to not at least try something

We were 25 points down at 3/4 time and ended up losing by 14, doesn't that mean something positive was tried?
