Funny that.... So your saying trading Luke Jackson is gonna set Freo back 5-6 years? So no finals until 2027 or 2028?

Nah.

I heard the Jesse Hogan trade in the end of 2018 was gonna set Freo back 5 years. Dockers played in finals and won a final in 2022.

Again 7 of those blokes that played in that 2022 Elim final, 2 of them were 19 years old, 2 of them were 20 years old and 3 of them were 21 years old.

No, I gently reminded him that train ons were running the length of the field and kicking goal of the year during their match sims, so he should probably temper his expectations.

I tried to do him a favour but he doubled down with the gushing so I ended up just laughing at him like everyone else.
