As the final siren went, all I could think about was how i/we would react if it was us in front on GF day.

Who would shed a tear for us...
Who would be the lucky player to have won a GF and only played a handful of games...
Who would be the player, playing in his last season and won a GF in his last chance...
Who would be our norm smith..

As i watched with 5 minutes left in the last, my heart was thumping yet i didn't know why. all i could put it to was me thinking this would hopefully be carlton in a few years...

Would i jump for joy
Would i carry on and rub it in to opposition supporters
Would i be in shock
Would i shed a tear of joy

All i do know is one day and one day soon, i want to feel like this...

Hopefully i wont have to wait too much longer...

Next year, guys. It only took Hawthorn 2 years to win the flag. - That's how quickly it can happen, and that's how quickly it can go away. This year for the first time in many years, I felt an extreme amount of jealousy watching another team win the flag. Especially how we witnessed them rebuild from the ground up, in half the time it's taken us to rebuild no less.

I really hope the players feel the same way. They need to be inspired to follow what the Hawks have done. We've taken the same model they have. - The draft.
I really don't see another club emerging before we do. It's time to act!

I was fortunate to attend the game yesterday with 2 fellow Carlton supporters and a Hawk supporter and when the final siren went i was rapt for her that the Hawks won but was also very very jealous, i just cannot wait to capture that feeling of absolute euphoria again like in 95.

Had a look at the odds and we are equal 7th favorite with Freo (ahead of teams such as Adelaide, Sydney & North) to win the holy grail next year.

I think we have a bit to go before we make a grand final, let alone win one. You look at the two teams yesterday, we are still a fair way off teh mark. Would we win a grand final with fev kicking only a goal? Doubt it. Do we have about 10 players that can stand up and kick goals, running goals, from around the 50? Not sure.

We're on the way for sure, but no way are we there yet.

I enjoyed 95 more than the 4 previous ones that I attended in 79, 81, 82 & 87. Those 4 early ones l took them for granted.

In 79 l didnt even stay for the cup presentation, l didnt even know that they had one, l was too young plus I went to the 78 GF with dad who followed the Roos and we went as soon as the siren went!

The next one will be sooooooooooooooooo sweet and l will savior it this time even more than the 95 win.

I went with my sister on Saturday to the game and I said to her, that we have taken our GF wins for granted. My first was in 1979 as a 6 year old. It was just expected that we would always be there or near abouts.

The past few years have been hell and I cannot wait until we return to play finals. As the players lined up on Saturday for the Anthem, I couldn't help but picture Bryce, Murph and Juddy lined up. It gave me goosebumps........we can only dream
