Dear Footy Gods,

Please give the Adelaide Crows a ****ing break when it comes to umpiring.

I'm not solely blaming umpires, a bit of discipline wouldn't go astray.

Thanks,

From Mike

P.S A miracle victory today would be appreciated too.

If someone could please explain to me the rule where Crows players aren't paid blatant free kicks, that would be nice.

P.S Not sour grapes in terms of a loss, but I would rather see us lose a game without this Bullsh!t

Is it a discipline issue with the crows? I know I am viewing these games as a staunch crows supporter, but surely week after week it hasn't just been my "biased" eye thinking we are getting r@ped?

First quarter, welsh gets his arms continually taken out of the contests which is then why he tries to go for the chest marks instead

Third quarter, Porps pushed in the back by Davey as he is in the act of kicking, ball is a scrubber that is taken by Melbourne into their forward line for a shot on goal (thankfully miss)

Bock holds off robertson IN THE SIDE and Goldspink calls it a push in the back and claims that Bock's hands were square in the middle of his back. Whoops goldie!

If there was a football god, Goldspink and Chamberlain would come down with season ending injuries.

I am also not blaming the umpiring for losing us the game (we did that all by ourselves) - but in the last quarter when the momentum had changed our way, was it a free kick to Welsh in our forward line where it was either in the back or too high (in a marking contest) which wasn't paid and the turnover resulted in a goal to the D's and subsequently snuffing out that faint glimmer of hope?

Have a cry. The umpiring was not fantastic, but it went both ways.

Yeah Porps was pushed in the back and then welsh got taken high

I thought Melbourne got a lot more free kicks then us, but then I looked at the free kick count and it was 16 Melbourne - 14 Crows. Watching the game it seemed like we only got about 6 frees

I didnt think the umpries played a critical role today.

Ive seen much worse diaplays.

Our performance in the first half in particualr was more concerning!!!!!!!!!!

2nd quarter in particular - that was nothing short of incompetent and pathetic. We just weren't switched on with our intensity until the last quarter.

As I said before the game, we are only just travelling at the moment.

Our game relies on a high level of intensity, and without we look very very ordinary.

As for Goldspink, the Crows haven't lodged protest after protest over the years about him for nothing. :thumbsd:

How much did he love that one in the last for holding the ball, went so slowly, made sure everyone in the ground was watching him and then bang holding the ball, goldspink at his best. Every time you play Essendon with him umpiring I wouldn't even send a team, but today he wasn't the worst umpire IMO.
