West Coast are genuienly ****ing terrible so they could front load his contract and pay the other 39 on the list their market value and be pretty fine.

It's a fair point for the first 2 years, what about the other 8?

Well I watched him play against Collingwood without a tag, didn't even have a run with player with him, i'm told he gets the #1 tag.
From what I saw that game and all the hype he gets, I just can't see it.

TBH for me when I started the thread - I probably didn’t word it well - Daicos is very relevant.

That being if Reid, who has really very few runs in the board, can command $2m or thereabouts, what is a player like Daicos worth?

His current deal run until 2029 and is less than $1m per year (according to his old man).

What does this Reid deal mean Daicos is worth? $2.5m? $3m?

Because that’s the sort of salary increase that will make players move - and request a trade mid contract.

Harley probably isnt worth 2mil yet, but well over 1mil absolutely.
Hes having just as good a 2nd season as anybody in recent history considering how he plays and what team hes playing in.

People just see losses and "average" written next to stats on the afl website and dont go any further than that.

Hes been genuinely elite, daicos couldnt play as well as Harley does in this Eagles midfield
