If the draft was right now and we had second pick behind the lion who would we go for?

The lions would probs go for young center players to counter the ages of Voss etc.

So that would mean that we would have the pick of the KKP

something like this then-
Brisbane- Gibbs
Carlton- best KKP...Stellar etc


The positive would be that we would be able to have another KKP, and you never know our Franklin, Roughead could be Kennedy and Stellar.

What would guys thing of us picking up Jetta? I think we need a bit of flair and speed in our team.

From all reports I think Gibbs will go number 1 - he seems to be the clear standout, although Mojo can probably put this into perspective. I know he has provided info on this before.

Also I tend to agree with you re Jetta. We definately need more speed and flair as we look very slow in transition and with defensive pressure from our midfielders. More importantly we need 2 things. 1 a strong key defender. Lance has been doing a great job but we need to try and free him up a little. 2 an in-an-under midfielder with good skills and ball winning ability. I dont think Bentick will make it in the long run and we need someone to step into that role.

I want to wait until the champs to reserve my judgements and i will flip-flop on my preferred pick until the draft...but i could envisage a couple of scenarios according to what you said

A couple of things i have heard indicates to me that Jetta might have some ??? so wouldn't consider him until the second round, when he will probably be gone anyway

Look for a pacy ball user like Collard, hard nut like Brock o'Brien, or maybe a taller mid like Chris Schmidt here?

Blue i don't think you will see MOjo posting here anymore......agree with the key defender, that's why i think Hansen would be our #1 pick, perhaps even before Gibbs......from what i have read there isn't a standout #1 now, i think there are 4 or 5 who are very even and it might depend on champs form and/or injury queries, etc...

Thats right I did read Mojo was moving on. Pity as he has provided us with some exceptional information in the past, hopefully he reconsiders.

Hopefully you are right re the draft, I also hear that it is quite deep this year so we should be able to pick up 3 or 4 good players.

I also think that with Kouta's contract coming to an end we should be looking at enticing a good out of contract player to go into the pre-season draft. I know Goddard has not done much yet but it would be ironic justice in my view if he decided not to re-new his contract with St Kilda and we picked him up for nothing. He would be a good addition to our team on the HBF or wing.
