I was going to put this in another post but seeing that it turned into a little wine tasting discussion (and by the way I think I have tried them all) I decided to start a new one.

Next week we at least know our boys are in good hands. I think that the Perth Kangaroo supporters are the best we have. I sometimes think that they are louder than us here in Melbourne. Sometime soon I want to sit amongst them, they must get up the noses of the Eagles supporters. I was thinking about how many supporters we have over there, and wondered if they started follolwing us in the days of Barry Cable and Ross Glendenning? And we did win a couple of premierships in those days too. Keep it up Perth supporters, we need this one next .

You've hit the nail right on the head there Daphne. I know of a couple of people from Perth whom are Kangaroo members and based in Melbourne. I was quite surprised with one person, I started digging into him how good West Coast and Freo were last year, to my embarassment he pulled out his Captain CLub membership out of his wallet. The reasons why he followed us, is not only because of Cable, Glendinning, but also throw in Peter Spencer, Phil Kelly and the magnificent Krakouer boys..

I've thought in the past that they must face big boom microphones at the North areas from the way they come across on TV.

You're right. They're just awesome.

Dapne I grew up in Perth.
One day Barry Cable came to my school and personally taught me how to do a drop kick. I'll never forget that day.
So when he came to North in 1968 ( is that correct Darky) I was never going to follow any other team.
In 1977 there was no way i was going to miss an opportunity to see Cable in a GF so I jumped in my Van and headed East.
24 years later and I'm still within spitting distance to Arden st.:D

Your right Daphe the boys will be in good hands over here.

My best mate sells cars for Mazda and he has scored some tickets to the Brunch with the boys, that means......Champagne breaky at 7am.....Brunch with the boys around 9am........a few ales at a local around 11am.........on the squirt at the game at 2pm..........rest of the night - VICTORY DRINKS!!

A very pissy weekend ahead!

PS: I was influenced by the WA factor - Cable, Glendenning, Krakour's. etc. and never turned when the WC Budgies came into the comp. (Gee, the Budgie supporters will cop some sh!t on Sunday!) :D

About 3 and 1/2 months to go BSOAT (**getting excited**).

I think it's going to be a big shermy - my wifes' stomach is huge! I'm 6 foot 5 so we're expecting a big bub. Your very kind for asking BSOAT. :)

Sherm.
