Only a few weeks away to having a full list to choose from :D
Minus Watiey :(

Waite is a huge loss but we should also be looking forward to Walker coming back after a short stint with the Bullants in a few weeks time. I would assume that he at least plays 1 week in the VFL & Warnock possibly a couple of weeks.

It will all come together for us in the business end of the season bar NO MORE injuries.

Pending injuries and unless we have a massive form slump i'd say 3 weeks in VFL at least for both. If hampson holds form it wont be a given that Warnock comes in thats for sure. Walker could be slotted in anywhere however.

I heard Walker would be back in two weeks with one stint in the ressies.

Really looking forward to his come back. Doesn't need to set the world on fire just needs to get his body right. The match winning stuff will come latter...

Jacobs has been out for ages
What round did he get injured? Does anyone actually know what is wrong with him?

and to think we had the fast option for Waitey - we could have threatened to have a full list before season's end (knock on wood)

Walker might play VFL this week,
Sam Jacobs had stress fractures.
He and Warnock will probably play in the VFL at the same time (smokey chance for next week)

Walker will only play 1 week in the VFL. Bookmark it.
Warnock will come in and play 2nd ruck between round 17 and 19.

Really encouraging to see that some of these long term injured players are starting to get much closer to resuming in the Bullants. Hopefully they can all make a successful comeback, and perhaps even have an impact at AFL level, something that I must admit didn't seem that probable not that long ago.

I'd want them in against Melbourne. That way if one of them gets reinjured, I wouldn't feel less confident being a player down. :o

If they're going to get injured, they'll get injured in VFL or AFL. So play them if they're fit.

walker will only NEED 1 game in vfl. Because he'll still be as fit as he was at the start of the season. and the 1 game will just be to test out his shoulder. he'll get through that game fine and then come into carlton =)

Warnock i'd assume a month at a MINIMUM in the VFL. because he had no pre season and been off his feet for quite a while cause of the stress fractures

I am not as keen as you to see him at the top level straight away.
I think it will take him a few weeks at least to get back the confidence in his shoulder.
I for one, don't want to see Walker pulling out of a contest because he has doubt in his body

I honestly wouldn't worry about this. Tex is hard as nails and plays with total disregard for himself. I'd expect him to continue his suicidal leaps in his epic quest for mark of the year!:thumbsu:

Walks is our man - its easy to forget how good this bloke is. I havent - if firing on all cylinders - hes in the same bracket of gibbs and murph.

Judd will love it if he plays - atleast someone will block and knock over judds tag for him!!!

2 weeks at VFL level for mine. Then play wing/forward/bench in the ones. Give him some freedom on his return ratts!

Mate, we all love him but the bolded bit is way off.

Walks unfortunately can look back and see his very first AFL game as his best game to date. He's nowhere near Murph and Bryce. His foot-passing lets him down significantly.

Only ignorant opposition supporters post the following.

Spot on. Look at his last few games in 2007, before all the shoulder trouble.

Rd 20: 31 disposals
Rd 21: 30 disposals
Rd 22: 24 disposals

This was without having Judd and Stevens to take the pressure off. Walker will be one of our best players once he's ready to go.

Jezza mate you have no idea i think.

Andrew Walker when fit and firing is absolutely up there with Murph and Gibba, i think you just dont remember it has been that long. He was starting to hit some serious form when he was playing.

Walks will be playing up forward and taking some of the heat off Feva and is going to fire i can feel it in my belly. Will sneak under the radar of oppostition clubs!

think it was late last year versus port at etihad where i was just so entertained by how he played. Cant wait till he gets back

Yep kicked 3 goals very early then went into the midfield.

His athleticism and desire means he can turn a lot of 50/50s our way, his outstanding fitness means he can do it quite often during a game unlike a lot of other spectacular players.
