With Daniel Kerr coming back in, I reckon Butler will get dropped. He didn't do too much today and missed a couple of opportunities close to goals.

I also think Brett Jones will be looked at. He made a lot of mistakes today and got torched by Chris Scott. He's been good so far this season, so maybe he will stay.

Adkins didn't do much either.

Nicoski and Kerr could come in for Adkins and Butler.

Thought Adkins was ok today...

banfield had scott early when he kicked the goals. jones covered him pretty well.

i thought butler was reasonable, he is a chance to go. im not sure if kerr will fit. i would not do nicoski for butler. only for kerr.

I'd like to see McConnell get a run as a reward for consistency, but only to replace an injured player.

In Nicoski and Kerr
Out Butler and Adkins.

That's what I reckon.

Our midfield was dominant today and their was a lot of loose ball up forward; a perfect opportunity for one of these guys to get 15 touches and snag a few goals. They both had opportunities but didn't use it well enough.

I like Nicoski. He definitely gives us something across HB, and I'm not really sure what Butler and Adkins are meant to be bring to the side.

Based on WAFL form (which i heard Nicoski has been in excellent form) and Kerr coming back in id say Adkins and Butler are on the chopping block. I think Selwood is ahead of Butler atm, mainly due to his better disposal and ability to help down back.

INS Kerr, Nicoski
OUTS Adkins, Butler

On a completely unrelated note, did Bones play on Chris Scott at the beginning today. I thought Banners started on him got 2 kicked against him, then Chick moved on him got 1 kicked against him, Bones went on him later on and ended up with Stenglein on him...... Is that correct or wat??

What a load of rubbish. Brett Jones was good and rebounded well a few times

Adkins wasn't on for a lot of the game - he's an impact player. You can't expect him to get 20+ touches.

In Kerr
Out Butler

on bones even if he had a shocker with the way hes developing i'd keep giving him a go. (i dont think he had a shocker btw)

We need our backline to become setttled and play games together. we wont get that if we drop someone everytime an opposition player has a day out.

He was OK once the contest was over. But in the 2nd term when the Lions were trying to lift, he made some bad decisions and turned the ball over a couple of times in traffic, which resulted in goals to Brisbane.

For me It would

Out: Matera and Selwood

In: Kerr and Nicoski

Matera has done absolutely nothing one haul 3 goals against the Bullies.....
the amount of game time he has gives away too many frees for my liking.

I cant really recall them off the top of my head, could you cite some specific examples?

I think Matera will stay in the team. Even though there's about 10 guys who could take his spot.

Butler and Selwood are playing half a game each. I'd rest them for a week so they can get a full game in the WAFL. No criticism of either, just the need to give them a full run. I think Bones did well yesterday. In fact I don't think anyone had a bad game.
Nicoski, Kerr and Wooden are all deserving of places. In fact Kasey Green has been playing very well and McConnell too and would be selected in a squad with less depth of talent than we have.

IMO, I thought Jones was very good in defence

Kerr for Atkins is about it regarding changes for Round 6

Butler and Selwood should be retained because they are youngers players gaining experience, unless as stated before the lack of game time is affecting the fitness

There are plenty of other young players who could benefit from the experience, McConnell, Nicoski etc...

Nicoski form is ok, but remember he's playing up forward with a team who has a percentage over 250 after 5 games, if he can't get a kick in that situation, he never will.

Being an east perth supporter this year I've had the opportunity to watch every game. Based on his consistency i think mcconnell deserves to be given a chance to impress. i cant see how they can justify keeping butler in the team when d.mack has collected over 90 possessions in the last three weeks and been in best every game hes played for us this year.

ins:kerr mcconnell
out:butler adkins

Based on WAFL form, Josh Wooden should have been in a few weeks ago. R.Jones has been good, as has Green and McConnell.

Depth is a good thing, isn't it? :D

As much as I like Butler, and as good as I think he is going to end up being, he hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire so far this year.

Although, I doubt anyone other than Kerr will be brought into the team next week. It's a little nutty to make myriad changes when the team is in pretty good form.

I can only see Butler and Adkins being looked at to be dropped. Kerr is an obvious inclusion...not sure on who else would come in or if one of the Adkins and Butler will be retained.

I thought Jones was actually pretty good.
