Knights has the greatest possesions per time spent on ground average at the AFC. (nicked from the Advertiser)

Interestingly, second-year Crow Chris Knights proved his ball magnet capabilities by being able to get his hands on the ball more per minute of game time than any team-mate.

In his 514 minutes of play in 10 games, Knights won a possession every 3.89 minutes, edging ace on-baller Tyson Edwards (3.97).

HAs had a good grounding this year. When he is injury free next year and his body that much stronger he will be one of our guns. Watch him shine in the SANFL finals.

His ball getting ability has never ever been in question. Thats by far the strongest part of his game. If given long periods on time on the field, he will get real close to averaging 30 touches per game.

His main area to work on is what he does after he gets it. He'll be a good player no doubt.

A little too much of the Scott Thompsons! But he's got plenty of time to sharpen up. I look forward to a stellar career from Knights.

I made the statement a few weeks back that I thought his disposal/minutes ratio were as good as anybody in the side if not better, and I've been somewhat disappointed with the amount of game time this lad has had.

I think the concerns that Stiffy and others have had re disposal and decision making would have been resolved much quicker with more time out on the ground. Sitting on a bench accumulating splinters in your arse never resolved a thing.

I hope that next year Craig gives him maximum game time, and IMO the rewards will surely come for both team and player

Bullseye. Agree 100%.

We got some crucial games into van Berlo last season and have reaped the benefits this season. Knights is 12 months behind.

With Hentschel's injury I have a bad feeling we will really feel the departure of Watts next year :(

Hopefully we pull a rabbit out of the hat on this one.

Nathan Bock is an interesting one. He still looks to me like he is struggling with his back. Remember the knee high handball he received at half forward on Saturday? Rather than take it in the hands he tried to soccer it forwards. Ended up going out of bounds.

With Rutten and Stevens looking solid in defence Bock might be freed up to play permanently forward. There are a couple of questions - does he have the game to be more than just a handy forward (unproven at this stage), and, more importantly, will his body return to 100%? Backs can be very tricky injuries. Brad Ottens has never been the same player since his back injury.

Maybe the club should look else where for a KPP,there must be some gun forwards around that have been overlooked in the afl drafts but are considered a little too old for most clubs 25-27years of age.

interesting chris knights fact..he's ****

Your club found a new coach to lead them to more mediocrity yet? :)

BoundaryUmp - Kent Kingsley. Geelong don't want him at all, he wants to leave.

Grab him, give him next year, then either keep him if he performs, or get rid of him when Trents back if he's been a dud.

Chris has a twin brother. Unfortunately by his own admission (& Chris's) he can't play footy! Don't worry every Eagles supporter who saw him when he was over staying with Chris asked him.

I told someone about how some players do not get a chance to prove themselves - they get say 30 or so minutes in a game, get 7 or 8 posessions, then get overlooked for the next game.

I'm hoping Knights get smore gametime in 07. I feel he has the makings of a fantastic little player. Pencil in a "Norwich Rising Most Possessions for the Week" nomination for him next year.

Agreed. I think he'll play a lot more football next year. Craigy realises the need to slowly transition the midfield over to the next generation over the next few years. Knights will be part of that transition along with Douglas and Co.
