I liked it when Blair said Menadue was three years away but had the ability.
Nek minnut, menadue is tearing it up and many have him debuting in round 1.

Highly doubt he debuts Rd1.

We would need some injuries for that to happen #pleasegodno

Also Blair hartley looks like jason sudeikis

I thought the same , I was waiting to see Blair head out to the car , put on a cd and rub one out like in Hall Pass.

Yeah but it also puts all the bullshit on here during the possible Trengrove trade down that our preferred option would slide to pick 23 and we wouldn't lose a thing. They had Ellis rated from 9 to 12.

Great insight and really well done and awesome to see them all look like little kids in a candy shop when they realised the big fella was going to be on the table for our last pick.

I also liked the part when they were telling Hardwick Menadue wouldn't be ready for 3 years , you could almost see him thinking well that's the average time I take to play a second round pick and this means I can sign Newy again and nurse him to his 300.

Blairs thoughts on Butler being a second rounder was exciting as well but last year he gave away a second rounder for Hampson so it sort of kills the excitement when you think about it.

In all they look like a really good team with everyone knowing their place , their role and who is in charge . I liked the part where one of them said to Frank " well it's your call Frank ". It's certainly not the case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

Is there plenty of pictures of Mayne , gee he's a hotty. Bet he has to beat the girls off with a stick when he's out on the town . Makes Barlow look like the elephant man.

Really enjoyed the video, like the behind the scenes video's like the Ellis Draft day vid.

PS: I wonder if they will release a trade week video so we can see the fits of laughter when an opposition recruiter asks for a 1st rounder and a gun in exchange for a spud
Would love to see the discussions about trading for Hampson. Would be similar to the last 30 seconds of the Benny Hill show I reckon.

Absolutley loved this and agree with another poster there is most probably 2-3 versions of this. Did seem a little staged but none the less a great insight into how it works.

Wouldn't it be amazing to go back and see the discussions in the JON year

There was discussion in that year ? Or would we just see FJ in a room by himself watching a video with a little drink in hand. Or perhaps FJ with a dart board with names on it ??:p

**** he must have missed the dart board completely as no way JON name would have been on it :D

I would give anything to get a similar video from The Dogs. Amazing footage.

Give us Macrae or Bontempelli and I'm sure our marketing folks could put something together for you fellas.;)

Sure, no worries, our midfield is looking so strong right now we can spare some quality players. /s

Bontempelli for a 3rd rounder + Grigg + a draft video

Not sure how true this is, but I've heard that had the Trengove deal gone through, we were looking at Connor Blakely for pick 23.

Of course we were , if we were looking at him at 23 then surely we would of looked at him at 32

I think picking Corey filled a need that Blakely would have covered and hence we went for Menadue. I think if Menadue wasn't there Blakely would have been snapped up straight away. I think we even strongly considered Blakely at Menadue's pick even after taking Ellis

I think that our recruiting staff were surprised Menadue was on the board still. Many had him tipped to be drafted by the Doggies or the Hawks.

I think the difference between the two scenarios was that:

Trading 12 for Trengove and 23 meant we were losing out on Ellis (who we were set on from reports), as that hybrid inside/outside midfielder. So we would have taken the next best in Blakely.

However, as the deal never eventuated, we got Ellis so Blakely wasn't much of a need anymore, whereas Menadue filled the requirements of the exact type of player we need.
