After a long pre-season, the Bombers will get their first taste of match practice this weekend in an intra-club match on Saturday. Kicking off at 10am at the Lexus Centre, the match gives the players a good opportunity to have a run as the pre-season gathers momentum with all uninjured players expected to be available for the match.

The club will play a second intra-club match the following weekend on Saturday February 11 at Princes Park commencing at 10am.

The match will be the Bombers final run before travelling to Sydney to play reigning premiers the Swans in an exhibition match at the North Sydney Oval on Friday 17 February. The team will then fly to the Gold Coast for its Community Camp and finish the week off with its week one NAB Cup match against Brisbane at Carrara.

Is Windy Hill taken due to the cricket?

Lexus. I'd be there and give you guys a match report, however I have prior committments. Make sure you sit near the change rooms or on the eastern side wing (if you want pole position).

Yeah, there is cricket on Windy Hill.

But there surface also isn't brilliant at the moment and the ground is probably a bit small anyway.

I know we played on it for near on 80 years, but I'd hazard a guess, ever if there was no cricket, we'd probably look to play elsewhere anyway.

I'm going to head down on Sat as well but incorporate it into my Sat morning ride.

I'll be riding from Ascot Vale to Flackie Oval and back.

If you see a tall doofus with blue bike, black bike shorts and a red/gray riding shirt, that's me.

Dont they try and still play a couple of Bendigo games at Windy Hill?
