Funny how some of them still want you to go outside. Hatching eggs? Really?

Would be difficult in some countries. I've been going on walks around my neighbourhood when the weather permits, we're fine to do that, but my steps are way down on normal life.

Ive hatched eggs with ease just walking around my house sync adventure sync came out. Unsure if its also linked to my smart watch being a better tracker of distance.

Yeah adventure sync has been helping for me too, but I don't think it counts my fitbit/watch steps unfortunately. That would make a big difference.

Niantic have improved it so even just walking around your house can track distance, I was trying it in my house the other day and it worked well.

I guess the good thing about still having to go to work is that I got Mewtwo in basically a day. Also finally completed Meltan today also, with that Aerodactyl thrown in with the Mewtwo tasks quite helpful

Nice, I doubt I'll ever get the regional exclusives Mr Mime, Farfetch'd and Tauros, and I missed the boat on Articuno during a break.

Have they extended the normal pokestop distance now? I'm parked near a gym and pokestop (waiting for my dad at an appointment) and I'm not in reach of either, but both are working.

I definitely think they have. I, like you, took a break from the game and now I’ve returned I can reach a gym from my in-laws that I never could before, plus many other examples of pesky gyms just out of reach when I’m a passenger that I can now reach

Gym is different from regular pokestop. The last I checked increased distance didn't work for pokestops.

Ok might be confirmation bias on my behalf, I thought stops were doing it too but I’ll double check

I won't lie, I used a gps spoofer to get the regionals a long time ago now. Think I have one of each up until gen 2. I doubt I'll ever get the others now that you can't location spoof.

Yes my apologies. I went to the shops to try and sort out the Pokemon candy task and was surprised they fixed it.

Good thing the throwbacks stick to photos and catching types of Pokemon after that crap.
