Someone please inform me, where if any?

It's a disgrace that it is not being shown. If I recall didn't Ch 10 pay somewhere between $10-15m for 5 years of rights from 2008-2012.

Pretty simple. with one hd moving away from 24/7 sports coverage and fox feeling they already have to many live sports commitments it's going to be hard to find somebody to show the ipl, especially when the bcci are still asking a ridiculously high amount even though nobody really wants the rights.

10's contract was made void last year due to some issue with the indian company showing the games, i think (but don't quote me on it) they went out of business a week or two before ipl 2011

no other channel has shown interest in it unfortunately, which is disappointing

so in short, don't blame 10, it isn't their fault this time..

has lost it's moejoe with teams only wanting to play local playrs so the big stars don't get payed, alot of state lever aussies will not get a look in...

shows money can't make you poplaur

Don't they realise most people are only interested because of the overseas players?

They seem to want to make it into more of a breeding ground for future Indian players, rather than an entertainment spectacle (which I'd argue it was for the first one, maybe two, tournaments).

Huh? That's not true; the teams spend millions on International players and the only reason a lot of them aren't being played yet is due to International commitments.

For example, Delhi last night had Pietersen, Jayawardene and Warner missing (not to mention Ross Taylor due to injury). We'll be deadly unna when they are all available later in the tournament. :thumbsu:

Callum Ferguson with one of the worst throws you'll see on a cricket field. Missed the keeper by miles and gifted Franklin 6 runs.

Did lol.

Though Rahul Sharma's attempt at backing up was almost as bad!

Indian domestic audiences are massive compared to anywhere else. Big overseas names are always welcome and each team has played their four allowed so far. It's a bit much to make that sort of claim. Not many people outside aus are interested in watching state level players from Aus.

What an innings from Rahane. Him and Kohli are the future of Indian cricket I reckon.

Looking forward to seeing the very Australian Punjab bat. Loved Faulkner's variety with his bowling. Hopefully Marsh can use this as a launching pad to kickstart his career again.

Too many runs to chase down. Gotta say, looks like cooper chucks for all he had a great game. But he probably doesn't under current rukes.

Yeah, gotta say I agree there. I know he played well and everything but man I got sick of the commentators verbally fellating him. They literally referred to the Royals as a one man-army (Cooper), when he wasn't even close to Man of the Match. Bizarre.

I guess you're right. I probably spoke from too personal a level - because of course, I enjoy watching our state guys going at it. Indian supporters would easily dominate the ratings, despite it's international reach.

Having one more international player allowed would be great though. There always seems to be quality players missing out because of the limit, which is a shame.

I agree they should allow 5 overseas players.
