All true...and add in the fact that crowls is a pretty average inside mid at the best of times. Handy tagger. Useful when sneaking forward. But inside mid he ain't.Fyfe's only 22, but it's a fair point you make.
I don't think the side can afford a lumbering 190+ cm tagger at the centre clearances. Too often sides got clean centre breaks against Freo, and it often came when Crowley was in the centre square and Clarke rucked. That combination opens Freo up, because Clarke is a lesser tap ruckman, the midfield can be hurt on a quick break from a less congested clearance.
I think de boer could do a better job of winning the ball inside while shutting down a target. But probably needs to beef up his tank to handle the running/outside types.
Richmond might try to grab him as a replacement for jackson. Mdb that is.
