Is Rahn Hooper worth a gamble considering he would be on minimum wage?
I think not but i would be interested to see what other Blues fans think,
(Eddie Betts, Crhis Yaran, Jeff Garlett are the main reasons for mine why not)
what do you think blue faithfull?

Uhh no. And not because we have Betts, Garlett and Yarran

Simply put; DUD

its pretty obvious we are all for a no ******** policy now that fev is gone, we don't need another ******** at our club

I agree he is disruptive, but he aint no dud,
he will kick 40 odd goals next year somewhere,
he just isnt a fit at carlton

NO - as stated Betts, Garlett, Yarran
Don't need another unstable guy at the club.
Can't see him doing anything at any Melbourne club. part of his off field problems in Brisbane was that he got homesick and his family is up there (not sure if in QLD or NT). So I can't see how that will change if he comes to Melbourne to play.

Remember Sean Charles

Didn't he just recently fail to show for a training session with the Tigers? Umm... a big no thanks. We've got rid of Fev and replaced him with players who have strong leadership qualities in McLean and Henderson. No need to take a step backwards in this regards for the sake of chasing talent alone. I like where the club is heading.

We shipped off our biggest 'nutcase', we don't need to replace him with another 'nutcase'. It's a big no from me.

What he said.
Besides, I wouldn't have though fleet footed small forwards was something that our list required at this stage.

Heard on the radio he is training with the Tiger's and he hasn't bothered to turn upto there last 2 training days, it is said that he said

"i didn't know we were training those days"

So my guess is who ever picks him up is getting trouble with a big ar$e T in front of it.

No. Eddie, Garlett and Yarran have a lot more talent than him, so he's surplus to our needs. Apparently he was training at Richmond and couldn't even be bothered turning up to their training sessions after he realized they were a joke. Not too fussed about his attitude. Given the right conditions and opportunities he could end up a decent player, but he's not in the class of our 3 small forwards. :)

No way.

Firstly, he's incredibly lazy. Has shown that if he isn't really in the game he will not work hard to get himself into the game. Can be easily tagged out of a game and thus rendered absolutely useless because he doesn't work to change that.

Secondly, he's not committed to his football. Failed to turn up to training at the Lions on a number of occassions and has done so at the Tigers as well. Very, very poor by him.

Thirdly, he has an extremely poor attitude. We just got rid of Fevola as an indication that we aren't going to be taking any more shit, so it would be extremely hypocritical to go and recruit Hooper.

Fourthly, he has no spot in the side. I'd prefer Eddie, Yarran and Garlett to Hooper. At least they give a ****.

Talent can only take you so far and these days it's impossible to rely on talent alone to make it in the big league. If you show no committment to making yourself a better player and are prepared to put in the hard yards to improve yourself then you won't last long in the system no matter how talented you are.

When Garlett is fully developed the name Rahn Hooper will be very quickly forgotten.

Remember this will be Garlett's first full pre-season and his areas for improvement will have been identified by the club and will be being worked on.

A full pre-season did wonders for Aaron Joseph, don't be surprised if Garlett does the same.

I'm here to read quality stuff like this - so I can do a little dance. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I agree with all of the sentiments here, I even stated it in the title.....
Just wanted to see what the rest of the faithfull's thoughts on the matter where, :):):):)
Glad to see we are all on the same page,
Im very excited about Yarran this year, I think its a big oppurtunity for him to stand up in a more open forward 50, we wont get flooded as much, and there will be a lot more 1 on 1's in our forward 50 and as mentioned previously, he will have a full pre season under his belt!!!!

Good times ahead at Carlton friends, :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
