We got the win we needed. To end the drought against the Crows, in such fashion. Incredible. We've proven we can beat premiership threats now.

Our premiership journey in 2018 starts here. Get on board.

Turning point? God, I hope so.

This is what I thought after the Ryder2Gray goal gave us our first win in a close one since like 1983. We lost our next game by fourteen goals. I hope your prediction goes better than mine did.

Speaking of Ryder2Gray how ****ing good was that set play tonight

Let's hope we can turn things around from here but we can't expect to come from 20 points down each week and win. I want us to start games like we played in the 2nd half.
Not yet convinced but I do love a win against the customers, especially when they thought they had done enough and it was theirs.

Are we deliberately playing two different game styles? Why are we a different team in the third quarter?

We took the game on.

Like we did when Ken first started.

Just think the first half where we were running around aimlessly in the back half with chips kick and handballs needs to stop. Our forwards need to work harder to present and provide a contest so our defenders and mids have more confidence to kick down the line when they are under pressure.

Our first option is defensive dribble. It never works against good teams. When the game is slipping away they have no option other than finally open it up, get numbers forward of the ball and make it a genuine contest all over the ground, that is when we are pretty much become unstoppable. Its very obvious, our coaches must never slip back to that defensive dribble again..

Htf do you match up on dixon chad watts robbie sam gray neade boak marshall motlop whoever we put up there, its a bloody dangerous forwardline...use it, ballbag coaches

Dropped our ‘game plan’ and won.

Can we call it defensive if we're leaking a heap of goals in the first half? It's not that its defensive, it's that its completely non-offensive.

Almost all of our kick ins in the first half were short little kicks to the back pocket where we held the ball up for ages and then slowly went down the wing, just trying to maintain possession. Then all of a sudden we went straight down the middle and scored a goal. We never looked at that option before.

Now usually I'd think that the players were just told to be brave and take the game on but there's something at play here. There was clearly two different game styles in the JLT. The Brisbane, Essendon and West Coast games looked similar.

We need to ditch whatever we are trying to do in the first half and just go for it.

Its defensively structured. We empty out the forwardline giving us no hope of scoring. We chip it around looking for perfect passes and uncontested possies up the ground. Its rubbish primusball.
We were more direct because we actually had options up forward to kick to. Looking up to see players one on one against the opponent instead of being outnumbered one or two to four makes it so much easier to play direct footy. Get it up there, make it a genuine contest and back our star forwards to beat their scrubber defensive players, they will most of the time.
