IF simmonds is only going to be out for 2 weeks. Theres no need to promote another player from the rookie list. Only if Simmonds was long term.

The money would be spent on the basis of the future structure of the playing group. If Simmonds is not 100% for the sake of team structure ( I beleive it is somewhat important to a developing team) put the kid in.

Their is no point playing people out of position.

agreed, give gus a go, at least it gives the team a dinkum structure to work with...and who knows, may just show a bit

I think a player has to be out a minimum 8 weeks to elevate a rookie. Looks like Tuck or Polak will be our second ruck for the next couple of weeks.
