No:rolleyes:
But some think that if they buy a ticket to a Crows game they get to deside who runs the show:p
If I buy a Holden do I get a vote to piss off the head honcho??;)
No, but buying a product from a publically listed company, and buying a MEMBERSHIP to a football club are two very different things.

But before you buy the "MEMBERSHIP" you should read the fine print;) not very hard to do:rolleyes:
Was there something in there about an inept CEO costing the club multiple high draft picks, quality players for nothing, fines to the club, damage to its reputaition, and being held to zero accountability whilst doing so?

phew, I think you got it there. YES, we do think if we buy a membership we should get to decide who runs the show. The members want a voice in electing the Board. It's not that radical an idea.

Let's just call it agitating for change.

GO YOU CROW BOYS
That is such a ridiculous cop-out. They should tell the truth to their members as promised, and if the Tippetts don't like it then tell them to bring it on - might actually get some of the disgruntled fans to rally around the club against a family that are hated by most already. Unless of course the truth only paints Trigg and the board in an even worse light...
Part of me agrees. But are you willing to see your membership cost more or to see us cut back on footy ops spend?

This is it in a nutshell;)
WHAT DO YOU WANT HIM TO DO??
Isn't that clear.

Quit.

If not going to quit - don't label those seeking the answers that he promised as agitators. Empathisebmore and talk to what concerns them rather than being a ******* arrogant tool.

If you buy shares in a listed company (As I assume General Motors is) you have the right to vote at shareholder meetings...

Do you get to vote who runs Holden?
Why about Telstra, BHP billion, news corp, et el?

If I'm a shareholder (aka a fully paid member) I do.

They decide who creates the financial strategies and direction of the company and there money allows this to happen.

A touch misleading. Major companies on the stock exchange pretty much don't give two shits, as most shares are held by super funds or investment vehicles. You'll have five to ten entities owning 90% of the stock, and then 500,000 guys owning the other 10%.

The membership model is very different, it's more of a democracy, and everyone gets an equal say. The only trick being in both cases, you can agitate for change but getting the message out there is difficult.

If that means the corrupt individuals are removed from the club, then so be it.
I don't see why we couldn't remove corrupt individuals from the club without "speaking honestly" in public and getting sued.

Or, more to the point, if we haven't removed them already, I don't think a few frank radio interviews is going to tip the balance.

No, its not really misleading. Every share has the same voting power. It's just that they're more prone to entities owning more shares than a football club.

The point being that a CEO is generally speaking highly accountable to shareholders for performance.

You could deduce from my club allegiance that I couldn’t care less about the Crows’ spending habits. I only care about the whole Trigg saga because as fellow football fans we can empathise when administrators dump on fans from a great height.

I call major BS on the litigation threat (assuming this would be from the Tippett clan).
Firstly, I doubt whether the Tippetts care anymore about what statements the AFC makes to its members. Kirk has served his suspension and can now enjoy his fat contract at the club he chose – why would they bother dredging over old ground?
Secondly, the questions that I imagine the “agitators” want answered concern the conduct internally at the Crows ie the 2011 board minutes, who knew what and when etc. They could release a great deal more information than they have without even mentioning external parties.

The second point is a very good one. And trust me, I'm no defender of the clubs actions here - I still want Triggy out of his post and would prefer the truth came out.

We can't afford to impact footy ops spending and are also in a period of membership decline - and I reckon the Tippets (esp that 'kirk' guy) would be the type to lash out litigiously from everything we've seen.

As someone else said above - if the price for truth to come out to hold people accountable is going to impact the club - so be it. I empathise with that position but personally can move past it if Trigg performs.

The biggest impact in all this is going to be the lack of talent to put on the field - and the only way to mitigate that is likely to be footy ops expenditure so I reckon keep all the cash we can!

Change the constitution to allow us to vote the board in or out - that would be a start and then we have a say in his employment.
Spot on :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: . This is exactly what I'm waiting for, and something that Trigg & Co. (The Board) are going to fight tooth and nail against. Should've happened years go.

Spot on. Everyone is way, way, waaaaaaaay too concerned about short term problems, rather than focussing on fixing issues that will eventually reap rewards for the club. If doing "this" or "that" causes the Crows some short term problems, either on or off the field, but helps in the long term....grab those options with both hands.

So SA U18 win the National championship. We therefore have the best depth of SA talent since 1995, and yet we have no first or second round picks. Brilliant.
That alone is reason to wipe out our management.
And don't try the 'how would they know about the depth of SA talent coming through' argument. This same group won the U16 National title.
