I dont want to wish this on any club but I think GWS are slowly becoming the new Melb Demons. They have a low fan base, no A-grade players, a lot of skinny kids playing seniors footy, a rookie coach and this year they copped a lot of floggings. None of that can be good for the development of their players.

The weird thing is that it's all their own doing.

Yeah they are still getting smacked around when Cam kicks a bag of goals and they now have players that want to leave their club. Lets see how long before Cameron asks for a trade.

You just don't seem to get it Stazz. The glaring hole in our team for a few years now is that extra ready-to-go kpf to give Pav a chop out. We do have young blokes already on our list that are the future. Problem is our flag window is right now. So, unless you believe a magic wand exists that will produce a strong marking, pack splitting goalkicker from within our current list - you better believe that someone like J-Pod is exactly what we need for the 2014 season. Best thing is that he is now a de-listed free agent. We don't have to trade anything to get him. So, before you lose track of things again, you might need to get a handle on the system.
Our time is now. There is a time to rebuild (a-la the Bullies or saints) and there is a time to top up. Pods will be with us next season. And barring injury, he will be the answer to our missing link in the forward line for our 2014 GF appearance!

ST KILDA has approached Greater Western Sydney about trading for the No.1 pick in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft, but head of football Chris Pelchen says the Giants are reluctant to part with their prized selection.

Not at age 30 that would be pointless.
But there is also no point asking for players like Fyfe, if you say you genuinely want to deal..

All in all this and their previous desire to take youth only has to leave you thinking that they are somewhat less interested in trading than they say.

Podsiadly, 32, has all but ruled out a shift interstate and his only hopes of continuing his AFL days could be at Carlton after also considering offers of a switch to Adelaide.

Eesh, I don't know about that. Clancee is a very good player for us. Pick 17 alone could probably get it done (if he decided to leave Port).

He has been a 1 club player in a team that is rebuilding and like us that have a few pieces missing.
He is mecurial in what he can do and is very underrated by the Vics same as Pav has been for much of his career .
Port need midfielders to truly challenge for a top 4 finish and we have some real guns and now also some with real value .
With the trades Bond has done and is doing we will have about 13 real guns and improved quality .
Its either a couple of Mids or a ruckman and we will have to offer quality not a youth .
Depending on how Griff is travelling we could offer Clarke or any combo
If the offer is Clarke then he and a midfielder {Clancee } would be enough to get the job done without pick 17 So BONDY get it done .
