Goodness knows. But you'd start with the person he sent these images to in 2018 wouldn't you. And surely it wouldn't take long to discover who it was who posted them online last week. Were they paid by the media? Does the Herald Sun know who they are? It can't be that hard.

I think this case (hopefully) represents a turning point in the AFL's calculus on where its self-interest lies.

Previously it thought it was in its interest to screw over victims of private leaks to satisfy legacy media/social media lynch mobs. Now I think it is starting to understand that doing so just leaves the game's brand at the mercy of the worst people in society.

Telling literal criminals and their scumbag media enablers that they are free to create scandals out of thin air, which the AFL will appease them on, just opens the floodgates to potential blackmail and allows the game's image to be subject to constant attack.
