Rewatch the Eagles/Carlton SF from a few years ago, he took the game by the horns in the second half, big reason why we won in the end.nteresting times for the Eagles..... Jack's a good player but has only really had 1 final that he has performed really well in and that was a 100 point smashing of Norf 3 years ago

Lol. He shit himself, nothing more.In fairness to Jack that squib last weekend could mean 2 things, didn't want to get rubbed out or he didn't want to be injured. Players as big as he is have to pull back now or risk getting weeks, this is where the game is headed sadly and players do it every week. It got highlighted as did his last years GF performance when other players who do similar get a free ride by the press.

The first year player? Why isn't Dunkley being panned for pulling out of the contest?
The first year player?
Second year.At what point in a career do you need to start to go?
Why isn't Dunkley being panned for pulling out of the contest?

You just described squibbing due to approaching impact. That's the point.Dunkley definitely shortstepped/pulled up short (whatever you want to call it). He could have hit that contest really hard. Maybe he had concern about arriving late.
To me it appears Darling felt or heard approaching footsteps and lost focus on the footy, he didn't pull out so much as braced for impact and forgot about marking the ball. Not good either way but these things happen.

He's got the frame and pretty boy face to be an absolute gun footy player and marketing dream for the Eagles but for every piece of gold he produces there's an equally stinky nugget of shit. I remember in his first few seasons he would take a strong pack mark and the commentators would talk him up as the next Wayne Carey then he'd kick it out on the full. Too many incidents like that in the last few seasons in my opinion. Id trade him. He's Jason Ball 2.0. He is for sure over sexxed in my imagination with his giant white hog just running around Perth night clubs swinging that thing around like fat rubbery police baton. Maybe a slow down of the pussy chasing and ninja training and more time with a kicking coach and he will do well at another club.

What are you on about? ******* lol.
The Dog's pressure was huge last night, the ENTIRE West Coast side decided not to apply any pressure. Almost every possession by any player, be it Priddis, another midfielder or a forward or defender was under pressure and in turn was kicking or handballing to another teammate under pressure.
That's finals footy done right and WC didnt bring it at all.
Was last nights loss Priddis' fault? Yes it was. But it was also Jack Darlings fault, and Josh Kennedy's and McGovern's, Gaff's, Yeo's, Barrass', Giles', Lycett's, Shuey's ... get the point?
We were awful.
My goodness. The withdrawal method may be appropriate in the bedroom but not in footy. He withdrew from the contest. Thats all there is to it.Dunkley definitely shortstepped/pulled up short (whatever you want to call it). He could have hit that contest really hard. Maybe he had concern about arriving late.
