He actually has more forward nous than all of our current small forwards.

Have you actually seen how he has scored his goals?
Gees its rare for you to venture onto the Geelong board. Like the cats supporter who never actually goes to games in Geelong.

Do we actually have any decent small forwards any more to compare to? We mostly just use players who should be mids or defenders in the forward line these days. The physical and skill traits are my main criticism as a forward rather then forward nous and Im willing to accept I could be wrong on that one as his physical and skill weaknesses as a forward could be masking his ability to run to the right spots and out position his opponents to get into the best position.

Henry will be a Hinkley, Paul brown, milburn type. Capable of having a good forward game now and then but could be an exceptionally good back flanker who drifts across packs taking excellent marks and being steady and calm with the ball in defence.

I think after 2-4 years ..he will be much bigger than those guys ...

Like him more as a defender. Wouldn’t like to see him get treated like Lachie Henderson was at Carlton where they threw him forward and back without letting him settle in and learn the craft

I didnt start this thread. It evolved out of another thread. And all my posts were in response to other posters asking me direct questions. I kept trying to bring the discussion back to the issue at hand but my efforts failed.
I may, or may not agree with a particular poster's views but I defend your right to give your opinions and defend them.

Thanks I think that is a compliment although I do say the same thing about nazis, socialists and those who think Cyril is a champion footballer so err well...

Rationalisms place is everywhere, even in the imagination. Anyone who thinks there are places where it doesn’t belong doesn’t understand what it means. Rationalism is not the opposite of emotion. Emotion and rationalism go together.

Time to get this thread back on track. does anyone think the club might bring esava back in for the first final if he plays a full game this weekend?

How far off it did he look yesterday?

I asked a relative in Geelong about Esava..his view, for what its worth, is he is not ready..

btw...rationalism is everywhere for those bereft of a sense of humour.
