Should this kid be making his debut on the back of last weeks performance? IMO he should be made to force his way into the side. Make it so all the kids we have coming through are forced to earn a spot and are not just handed one for the sake of giving them a game. Let them have 3-4 weeks of excellent performances at VFL level so they can earn a spot then they know the reward for working hard, not the rewards for being a kid with potential.

To me that is why Wallace has kept a lot of the so called 'Deadwood' because it means the kids do have to perform to gain a spot, otherwise it is just a waste of time having them at the club. I believe that is why he brought in Kingsley to give Schulz something to think about. So far he has taken his chances and 7 goals in 3 games is not going to see him getting dumped when Kent is fit again.

I think Edwards will play, he has been among the best players both weeks.

Riewoldt was fantastic this week, but the week before he only showed glimpses imo (some said he was bad but I loved his 3rd quarter untill he got injured).

I don't think Riewoldt is the kind of player who needs to be rewarded for playing well, he's just a naturally confident character with enthusiasm and will give our dull senior players a spark.

I think JON and Casserly would match up well as running defenders against the Dogs, but Edwards will play and I hope Riewoldt does too.

The purpose of "making them earn it" is to get the kids working harder than before and playing better than before. I don't think Riewoldt will benefit from anymore time in the VFL as he spent a whole year in the seniors last year in Tasmania. Edwards had a year in SANFL too. VFL is a step down for Shane, I wouldn't want him slacking off due to the lower work load.. bring him up a level imo

i would think terry wil bring in jon king edwards riewoldt and pb from coburg this week

He wont make that many changes.

Edwards, King & Bowdon will be in.

Reiwoldt will probably have to play one more solid game.

JoN wouldn't be at peak fitness with his pre-season injury, give him another week.

I think Jack Riewoldt should not play and the defenders in AFL are very big boys and he will struggle. I would say give time in the VFL and for him to get a game in the AFL he should kick bags of goals at VFL level or set up a few goals also. If the finals are not within our grasp give them games and things will be better in 2008.

It is always when Richmond struggles that the know it all supporters give Terry advice. Terry should do this or Terry should do that. It annoys me that we have a five year plan and because of knee jerk reactions. It has happened for 25 years.

This will be his second VFL years after playing all last year for Tassie.

There is only so much you can learn from VFL.

He's right to step up very soon.

Whos spot does he take? I actually think our forward line is going quite well for the limited opportunites they have had, Schulz doesnt get enough delivery as it is, dont need someone else getting in his way.

Pettifer if he continues his downhill run.

If he's injured, take the week off. If he's simply out of form. 1 more chance.

Not sure about who's spot he takes but he will roam from HFF line to wing much like his cousin, rather then play deep with richo and schulz. So i think should get a bit more ball. Polak proved we cannot have 3 talls deep.

still looks a bit slow and under-developed for AFL just yet imo. His contested marking is his strength but this will be nullified at senior level when he gets swamped by opposition defenders. Needs to work on his leading

If we believe our own hype, one good game doesnt equate to "earning your spot". I'm happy to see him string a few in a row yet. Needs a bit of upper body strength but maybe about Dreamtime game he also needs to learn what AFL is like and where the bar is set. No rush he's 18.
