Just watched this kid in the SANFL Prelim and he is a gun! Bryce Gibbs like! We must draft him at pick 2. He took a Leo Barry mark in the dying seconds to pinch it and play his last game for Sturt in the GF next week against Centrals. Not only that he had around 30 possies and was instrumental in Sturts midfield in crap conditions at AAMI today.

Absolute gun. I can see what all the hype is about now. Come on Melbourne...he has to be ours! AFL ready now! Better still Sturts song is 'Its a Grand Old Flag!' So he knows it already.

He accumulated 16 kicks, 14 handballs, 9 marks and 7 tackles in a performance which was close to BOG in the SANFL prelim.

His team, Sturt, won by 6 points and when the match was there to be won he got 11 disposals in the last quarter, including a Leo Barry-esque mark on the last line of defence with only seconds remaining to save the match for Sturt.

The commentators were saying that highlights of his game include his balance, ability to keep his feet, hardness at the contest and classy skills.

The complete package, would be a great acquisition for us should we select him.

On a side note, the Sturt song is a modified version of Grand Old Flag, so Jack will know most of the words before he's even been drafted by us

thing i noticed today is an opponent could just about take a chainsaw to his legs and he wouldnt go to ground, unbelievable. Gary Ablett Jr-esque

Footballer's footballer. You won't notice Brock McLean is gone. Great footy brain, cool under pressure, terrific hands, thinks through situations and gets where the ball is. Maybe not super quick but reads the play so well. Finished with 25+ possessions and kept Sturt in it late when the game was on the line. Close to best on ground.

wow, went along to the game today and that was one of the best individual efforts ive seen in an sanfl game, not just by a 18yo but ever, without him there is no doubt sturt would have lost, he was immense, his kicking is elite, his pace is good, hes smart, courageous, great tackler, supurb overhead finds space and works his bloody backside off, and to top it off is a bloody great kid
