Accidents do happen OP & jango.Yes Lynch has broken his jaw,but that doesn't mean someone has to be punished for it.
They are under the new MRP rules though, Viney caused the injury. Pretty sure he'll get at least 2 and probably more.

Adelaide have a history of juicing up the injury report and giving evidence so players are likely to get more weeks.

He'll take it to the tribunal and ask what else he was meant to do.
Georgiou was already tackling Lynch and bringing him down which is why there was contact between Viney and Lynch. He didn't choose to bump he turned his body and tried to stop, he had no other option.Tackle

Btw when do we find out one way or the other?

If you elect to bump, according to the AFL any damage that occurs is your fault.
With Lynch's arm's pinned and being pushed down it was dangerous.
Force will be high, no argument against that. 3 points
Contact was high. 2 points
The only argument is between negligent conduct and reckless conduct, and at is quiet easy to see he could have tackled so I think it is reckless.
That is 7 points, and 4 weeks probably down to 2 weeks with an early plea.
So you're missing that Viney clearly slows down when he sees them coming?http://www.afl.com.au/video/2014-05-03/triple-head-clash-sees-two-subbed
Here is the video,he saw Lynch coming before the got the ball. He had plenty of time to work out he wasn't going to get to the ball before Lynch but he elected to continue running. Then he saw Lynch get the ball and elected to bump rather than tackle.
This all happened in a split second, and I feel your pain but I don't think you can argue with the points he will receive except maybe if it was negligent rather than reckless.

And lowers himself despite the fact Lynch is taller?
And pulls himself back to try and make the contact as minimal as possible?
You're kidding yourself if you think he chose to bump.

Can you break down how in the space of about three quarters of a second and after having just shifted his weight onto his back foot and taken the other foot off the ground how he would have applied a tackle? He had two options, either bump or tackle and he chose to bump. Are you seriously arguing that Viney got not have tackled Lynch?

As I've said before, if Viney's brain works this fast he should be running the country. He had two options, either bump or tackle and he chose to bump. Are you seriously arguing that Viney got not have tackled Lynch?
I agree he tries to lower him self and probably would have been fine except the Melbourne player tackling him drove him forward.
It doesn't matter if he tried to limit the force, the force was enough to break his Jaw so it has to be high force
