Yea mate he was playing for the last month of the season in 2017 and has had no set backs. Has been in full training for the entire pre season so far and has been looking good. Absolutely no reason to think he won't be fit and ready to go round 1.

To be honest when I saw this thread back I thought "what has O'Meara done to himself this time" so I am pleasantly surprised to find out his knee has not fallen off.

This time last year he was not even in full training yet, his program didn't really ramp up until the new year. People were really surprised when they found out he was ready for the first JLT game last year. The fact he is doing the full program and is pain free after a good end to the year is a massive improvement over where he was this time 2 months ago.

You said ‘at best’ which means he’s probably a D grader most of the time but has a C grade game occasionally.

I don’t think you can play in three premierships with an output that low.
