Carlisle is very good, but those two are jets. Asking for steak knives is very rich.

I'd imagine Essendon would be chasing a top 10 pick and what they got would depend on where he was going.

How highly he is rated by Essendon really depends on where he sits in the talls pecking order.

Daniher, Carlisle, Hurley, Hooker, Bellchambers, Pears, Giles. I'd say Daniher is #1 and Carlisle, Hooker and Hurley are fighting it out for 2-3-4. Would never be shopped around and there's no go-home factor so trade value would be in circumstances of 'you're not giving me enough money, another team will give me $x more' or a team coming along and offering Essendon a deal they can't refuse - which considering how highly he is rated would be something like the #1 pick.

Brisbane should whatever it takes to get him up north. Would make a huge difference up there.

Yep, would take Carlisle personally.
Can play at both ends of the ground and has proven that at his best he does a good job in both positions.

He is a bloke you would have to sell the farm and $700,000 minimum to get him from Essendon. Brisbane...probably Aish and something. North...well your first aint close, so keep digging. Carlton have the picks but Essendon may prefer a Murphy/Gibbs. Dual KPP's don't grow on trees. Whilst I think he is much better as a defender, he has shown he can dominate up forward too. These players cost the most.

I would be ecstatic if Rance wants to come home next year, but that would go up a notch if we could convince Carlisle to head West. Perfect replacement for Macca

I agree, but is it really worth it that is the million dollar question. Could also allow one of Jaksch/Henderson to take the 2nd defender. That said my view is Carlton should head to the draft. The only trades you should do are upgrades.

I don't want him to leave. If he does, it would have to be for a first rounder + a first 22 player.

He is very important to our structure. We would value him more than what other clubs would be comfortable giving up.
