Which ever is correct, the fact remains that Conners handles a stable of talent and as he has made it clear what he thinks. It may just make it hard for clubs involved to get said talent in the future if he does not get what he wants for his client.

We've been on the end of some reaming from him in recent years. As fans we all hate him. As fans we all say he hates our club. As fans we all look to see who else on our list is managed my him and we worry. And now 2 years later he's in our court trying to help us get a player.

He only cares about his clients.

And I doubt we are changing our offer. We don't have much wiggle room unless you suspect we will give up a future first which I reckon is unlikely

We were on the other side of this with Connors 2 years ago with Ryder. We said exactly the same sort of stuff but all it did was enhance his reputation for getting what his clients want.

Well that is his job I guess. He might have done Jake a disservice this time though. Tomorrow will be fascinating.

And I agree you won't improve your offer. The odds of Jake being traded have lengthened considerably. Who knows, Carlton might be in the picture for him now. Jake met with SOS not long after the idea of a trade was put to Jake. Connors will drop off Essendon and switch to Carlton or Geelong in a heartbeat if that gets a deal done.

If the trade falls through, which it probably won't still, Connors is definitely the biggest loser in the short term. But if Jake came back and had a good year, then the offers for 2018 contract wise will be higher so he could get a bigger cut.
