Traded Jake Stringer [traded to Essendon]

Glad you've embraced reality though and realised that what we said all along was right. 25 + 30 was adequate for Jake.
TBH I still think it was a little unders based on his talent but you can only sell for what the market will pay.

Crozier & Schache make up for it (Crozier a payback for last year), Trengove FA helps and clearly we overpaid for Carlton's picks to get Schache over the line but we get two first rounders and move on. Would have preferred to keep the 2018 2nd rounder.

In the end, no one got screwed over. Bombers got their man, Bulldogs turned the second round picks into a first round pick, and replaced Stringer with Schache. Both teams had solid off-season's and added players that will help each team immensely. All the bitch fighting was for nothing in the end

Thankfully the season of bickering and innuendo is over, time to move to the mock drafts

I think the real test will be who has the better career going forward out of Josh and Jake, I accept there is a question mark over Jake's defensive efforts but I think he might be one of those players that has suffered from having too much success too early aka 2015 AA selection.
In all seriousness i dont think Brian Taylor has helped his career. That package rubbish has to go to the head of any young man, let alone one with Stringers personality (slow maturer).

glory be I really couldn't think of anything positive.

After not having a tall forward since Simon Beasley the doggies now have Cloke, Schache and Boyd.

Russell Crowe's band was called 20 odd foot of grunts.

Your forward line will be called 20 odd foot of soft campaigners.
Cheers, after reading your crap, good time to exit this thread for good now that trade period is finally over.
Good luck in 2018

He has Tippa and Fantasia to give him leadership in how to deal with bristle love. God BT is going to be umbearable commentating Essendon games.

It's all a ploy from Bevo to make him play harder.
But essendon are truly north korea, really north korea, with their media plants and their mafia and their conspiracy.

Seriously though, carlton just cleaned up trade week, and the dogs have dug themselves out of their hole at the last minute.

Everyone should be pretty happy in the end.

not an issue for our home games...which we attend in person, right? :p

I like BT, and the combo of Hooker, Tippa, Raz and Package will be excellent.
Don't forget Saad.
Do we have any Calder Cannons players too?

I forgot about this. I'm going to need to learn that trick where you sync the radio commentary with the TV.

In any case, he'll give himself a stroke at some point in the season.
I’m hoping Fantasia provides some forward pressure because Jakey is more of a hands on hips guy. Tippa probably covers that for you blokes anyway.

The dogs actually ended up pretty good with Schache. Didn't look like they would have much to smile about 20 mins before deadline.

What a ride.
The melts between the Carlton deal and the Schache deal on our board were glorious.

And yes, I was definitely involved.

It didn't look like they'd have anything to smile about at the deadline. Lucky they have that last hand to touch the car rule these days instead of a broken fax machine. Saved the day.
