ok lets break things down before you have a laugh... although its still very early in the year and yes unfortunately Jammo will miss the next few games, he is in my mind in real calculations to be an A.A
Here is a breakdown on goals against both Jamison and Matthew Scarlett (the games best defender in the AFL)
Jamison this year
Rd. 1 - Richmond - Richardson - 2 goals for the game - 2 on Jammo
Rd. 2 - St. Kilda - did not play
Rd 3 - Essendon - Lloyd - 4 goals for the game - 2 on Jammo (Thornton had 2 kicked on him)
Rd 4 - Collingwood - Medhurst - 1 goal for the game (by virtue of a 50mtr penalty given against Thornton for pulling Medhurst's jumper 60mtrs out)
Rd 5 - Melbourne - Robertson - 2 goals for the game
Rd 6 - Adelaide - Burton - 4 goals for the game - 2 goals on Jammo (Bower had 2 kicked on him)
Rd 7 - West Coast - McKinley - 0 goals for the game
Rd 8 - Brisbane - Bradshaw - 1 goal for the game - Jammo had 0 kicked on him.
Thats 9 goals in 7 games at an average of 1.28 goals against.
Scarlett this year assuming he played on these guys which i think he did
Rd. 1 - Port Adelaide - Westoff - 1 goal for the game
Rd. 2 - Essendon - Lloyd - 0 goals for the game
Rd 3 - Melbourne - Neitz - 1 goal for the game
Rd 4 - St. Kilda - Gehrig - 2 goals for the game
Rd 5 - Sydney - O'Loughlin - 0 goals for the game
Rd 6 - Fremantle - Pavlich - 5 goals for the game (2 on Scarlett)
Rd 7 - Brisbane - Bradshaw - 1 goal for the game
Rd 8 - Richmond - Richardson - 1 goal for the game
Thats 8 goals in 8 games at an average of 1 goal per game against.
Think its stupid now???
I'm not say Jamison is ahead of Scarlett but in terms of what he is suppose to do, he has done an awsome job and is not far behind. Scarlett is a far greater player and far more attacking, but for Jamo to come off the Rookie list and play the way he has and done what he has done certainly has to be in make him a contender.
