I love his ability to scythe his way through traffic. But nothing beats his left side foot passing (his set shots need a little work).

Buttercorn?I love his ability to scythe his way through traffic. But nothing beats his left side foot passing (his set shots need a little work).
Brought aggression and intensity back to his game. No floating around, but hard incisive football. He would have got the message from Ken during the week.

He's a special, unique talent. A little bit of the Josh Francou's about the way he finds his way out of traffic.
Good point REH.It will be interesting to see who has a bigger impact off the wing at Subi next Saturday, Polec or Hill. Both love to run and carry and bounce their way forward and have great left foot kicks.
What is really impressive is his quick mind. He thinks thinks through very quickly to the point it looks instinctive. And boy is he fast off the mark. We shall see how things go with teams that play tighter one on one.
i loved the bit at the end of his run down the wing in the 4th qtr - when he ran straight at the goals looking for all money like he was lining up a shot, forcing gray's defender to move towards him, before dinking a perfect chip to gray in space.
didn't telegraph it at all. the defender had no chance.
Had an immediate when he made that run.
I yelled "Go all the way kid, make yourself famous!!"
Only for him to chip it off.
Was so unselfish. 99% of the AFL's players would have went for goal.
I noted to my mates with about 5 minutes left of the 3rd quarter that the players looked to be passing it to Gray at any opportunity to pad his stats for the Charlie..
Anyone else think that was a thing?
Surprised this thread didn't get bumped last night but boy oh boy 10+ years of watching this kid develop & eventually dominate alongside Chad, Wines & numerous others is something I'm looking forward to.
That left foot, I don't know how to do it but can someone i.e Lama94 make a gif of a few his pieces of play namely that pass forward that was spoiled but then followed it up with an impossible to defend dart that hit Gray lace out.
At times he reminds me of Greg Anderson circa 1986.
I think he's Daryl Dixon's (walking dead) doppelganger. Not sure that adds much to his game but anyway...Love his game - as a player he is Andrew Obst's doppelganger.
