The qualifier is the list must contain players that can play Polec’s role - i.e. to a similar standard as Polec. I’m curious to see the list of players who could be earning the big bucks at North.

Example, would North offer a similar contract to Hall as they’ve offered Polec?

Will be sad if he goes, but am happy for the contract to be hanging until the end of the season. He's definitely the sort of player that will play out of his skin with that motivation, as the season so far demonstrates.

I would sooner trade him for a first rounder, because players like him let you down when you need them most. And Boak can go,as well.

He was close to our best player, if he goes we are at best 5 years away from a flag. Polec leaves we need a complete rebuild.

We bought in Rockliff, Motlop and Watts to win a flag with this group, we absolutely cannot lose Polec. Must win the flag next year, this year is all but over. If were lucky we sneak in but can do any real damage without Dixon. If we make finals we go out of game 1 just like last year.

I've changed my tune completely on this. Just pay him. Motlop is on 600k and he's had one good moment for the entire year. Polec makes Motlop look like an Auskicker.

I’m about done with people taking the club by hostage and then the club buckles and hands out super long and expensive deals like candy. It’s happened with Boak, Trengove, Hinkley, Hartlett, Lobbe, Pittard and Wines most notably.
