''No matter what ever happens, We will always be Red and Blue''. Was the answer Jeff gave to Ricky about him possibly playing for another AFL club next year. Just goes to show how much he loved playing in the red and blue, I think he will play on for a year or 2 at Sydney and personaly i hope he does well.

Best wishes to Adem Yze, Ben Holland and maybe Nathan Carroll on thier career in the Red and Blue:thumbsu:

Surely not even Freo or Sydney would take him after another piss weak performance today, at least Yze had a bit of a crack in his last game. Carroll can piss off too.

Despite a reletively average performance today, at a time like this it is more important to look back at what he's done for the club in the past. He used to be such an immense ruckman during his peak.

Congratulations on a great career Jeff :thumbsu:

Didn't see the game, just had a look at his stats though. 17 possessions, 23 hit outs, 7 marks, 2 goals.

I know that stats can be misleading, and as a Carlton supporter, I've been a little bit interested in drafting him, I was curious as to the reason why it was piss weak performance? Was he not interested? Is it just past it, but has the capability to get cheap kicks? Why do his stats look reasonably impressive?

Master shut the **** up! White has been great for the club and you want to slag him off in his last game.. Your pathetic!

When Mark Jamar is put ahead of you - self esteem is minimal.

Totally agree. None were in our worst by a long way. Good luck to all of them.

I've got no problem with Yze, but White has been a problem for the club for the best part of a decade.

mate he's been one of the best ruckmen running around for the past decade the only thing is that Neale Daniher traded away Jolly and Simmonds so that White could take the ruck duties by himself which i think was a mistake

As bad as Whitey was today he has been a great player for us. Remember that it was a rule change by the AFL on the centre square ruck dueks which effectively ended his career. To have to re shape his game and to come back after that horrific facial injury, I'll be the first to salute a great career. It was a shame that it ended like it did today, but I've got a lot of good Jeff white memories...especially that late goal against the Dogs that sealed up a finals spot for us. Well done Big Fella.

Take this comment as only my opinion, as you can see it's not exactly popular. But I haven't been a fan of Jeff for the last 4 years so it would be unfair to start patronising him with farewell messages now.

You're pretty much spot on. He just runs around waving his hands up and down wanting cheap kicks, doesn't man up or fill the hole, just sits in the middle of the ground.

His hit outs never go to anyone, he never follows the ball up with any force. He's had years to try and work out a tactic to beat the new rules, but hasn't, he doesn't put his body on the line to win a hit out.

As for my comment on him being a problem for the club for the last decade that was unfair, he has been a problem since 2004 because I think he hasn't been giving it 100%, and Daniher or him had a problem when they only gave Simmonds/Jolly/Jamar/PJ 5 minutes each quarter. It's been a long day, I'm pissed off with some of our players, I need a bit of best of Phil Read or the comical genius that is 426 goes to Subi.

Whitey has been a great player for the club.

But some of the things he did today made me realise that we made the right decision to get rid of him. Several times he didn't run hard enough and it meant they had a lose man to kick to. The real clincher was the simple marks he dropped, White's great marking has been the one of the biggest highlights of his career, today he was dropping simple chest marks.

Thanks for the great service, but the correct decision has been made.
