The budding superstar, who is estimated to be worth $1 million a season on the open market, has formally rejected Greater Western Sydney overtures to sign a new long-term deal.

Cameron is contracted until the end of the 2015, but the Herald Sun understands Cameron will decide at the end of the season if he stays at GWS or seeks a move home to Victoria.

Chances are there is nothing in this article, as it seems convenient after 2 100 point losses by the Giants

But it does pose the question, if Cameron was to announce at the end of his contract he wanted to return to Melbourne

1) What kind of money would/should he get
2) What kind of deal would have to get the job done (remembering free agency doesnt apply yet for him)
3) Which clubs would be leading the chase

If this were to occur, i'd expect Carlton to be chasing pretty hard

Every victorian club would go hard at him, best GWS trade him this year as well if they want to maximise his trade compensation.

Instant Mitch Clark replacement!

Trade Cameron for Frawley? Come on GWS you know you want to!

Seriously though this would be a disaster for GWS. Could the league block the trade like the NBA did with Chris Paul?

I don't really blame any player that wants out of GWS. Would be a massive cost to acquire. I'd love to see him at collingwood but I doubt we'd have the picks or players wanting to leave to get the trade done.

Hawthorn will just pick him up in the PSD

Second rounder+Whitecross GWS, You have no choice

You would have to trade absolute quality to get him. An A grade midfielder at least.

I would like it if a trade for him involved Bryce Gibbs or Jack Riewoldt.
