No he didn't, Bartel's first goal came when Geelong had already kicked a few. Getting the ball rolling typically means starting the scoring, and Bartel certainly didn't do that, in fact he was having a quiet one until he kicked his goal.

Normally finishes in the top 5 on account of not missing games and therefore playing more than his teammates, meaning more votes.

Also we're into Round 2 and despite being talked up as a gamebreaker in both games, he hasn't got a single vote from any of the coaches, including his own.

Seems like there's a gulf between BigFooty rating of Bartel and the coaches rating of him.

But seriously, I was barracking for Geelong that day. Port had already won one and Bartel wasn't getting much of the ball despite winning the Brownlow, so I wanted to see him have some sort of impact.

Ball had 7 disposals in the first term when opposed to Bartel, who had 9 in the first term before he was moved to Hayes after quarter time.

To suggest Ball killed Bartel is fanciful, even for you.

I was given evidence that Bartel played with a broken foot and it was just a headline in the herald sun. All the article said was some comment by Neil Balme that Bartel had some soreness on and off. This is how myths start.

Brad Sewell. I struggle to think of a bad final that he has played. Champion Data ranked him No.1 in amongst finals players.

As for Bartel I only have to think back to his most recent finals game to get a stinker.

How consistenly good are these stats year to year and opponent to opponent

He had more clearances than any Geelong player and he didn't even play half the game. LOL. Whoever was on him was being absolutely drubbed.

If he was so good, why'd he only play 46% game time? He wasn't injured.

Sewell missed 2 shots on goal in the grand final did he not?, plays good finals yes, but did he stand up when it counted? Not the way bartel does.

Didnt bartel get like 26/27 possies in his last final?

26 possessions, 17 contested, 8 tackles and 5 clearances, all with a bung foot. Clearly had a stinker.
