John**** and Mascie

Sorry if I spelt Mascie wrong. I was just wondering what you all thought of their performance the other week against Melbourne?? I think they had a bit of whats known as the finals Jitters. They got alot of the ball but I don't think they knew what to do with it once they got it. Hopefully they will settle down this week and play as well as they usually do because they are both great players.

I actually think John****'s last two weeks have been his best games for a while. He seems to be finding a bit of form. Yes he did have a few fumbles against Melbourne but I think he had one or two of those after he got knocked around in the third quarter which shook him up a bit.

I think Massie could struggle to keep his spot this week. The commetators did harp on the fact that his opponent, Johnstone, was very damaging but it was also when Massie got the ball that he looked slow. Not only is he slow with leg speed but also with moving the ball and his decision making. He seems to always get caught and never really coped with the pace of the game against Melbourne.

I am not sure who would replace him. If they want a defensive type midfielder they could go with Mattner or Shirley. If they want a ballgetter who can use the ball then Gallagher could be the man. Hewitt or Marsh could get a chance if we go for an extra tall.

I think Mattner or Shirley would be the best to replace him but I don't know why but it's just been in these finals that he's been struggling. He's usually a really good player. It would be a shame to take him out of the side.
